Guitar Question?

I picked up my Guitar today and was playing The Epic song. I started to hit the notes correctly and it did, but when I got to the ones where you hold down the Green,Red and yellow buttons after you strum it would hold for about a sec then it would kill the note. It would hit some of then and hold the note. It would only do it on certain notes, not all of them, and it was on all the Green, red and yellow notes. I don't think it is broken becuase it can hit the regular notes just fine, it is where you hold down the note it quits mid stream. I was going to replace the batteries to see if that is the problem, has anyone had this issue? I am going to the store now to get batteries. What do you guy's think?

i dont know for sure, i own if for 360 but the problem has been reported for the ps3 one and i think it just has to do with a poor make in wireless controller, or maybe just a defective reciever, how far away from teh ps3 are you when you play? a wireless controller is recieving constant signals from teh reciever, if one is lost on the way, you stop holding the note.

[edit] try holding down the color in a song and not strumming, see if the color remains solid (meaning its pressed) or if it blinks at all

Is there a way this can be fixed or is it a defect?

i would say defected... call ea, they are very nice pleasant people who are there to help and hold time is a minimum. Im sure they can set you up with a new one if it is defective or else help you fix it.
