In Guitar hero 1, 2, and 3 you could use a controller for a second player to play. Not as fun, but it made 2 player possible to those of us who couldn't afford another guitar controller.
It'd be nice to at least have someone sit in and play bass on a normal controller, just so I could have 4 players playing.
Or you know... I may have another controller that looks a bit different from your standard 6 axis, but it still registers and one, and it would be pretty fun to experiment with using it as my bass on rockband. ;)
