Need I explain anymore?

Please, go Krazy (that's right, I spelled it with a K).

Whoa folks, he means buisness!

I'm no expert, but I'm told good things about "In Rock" and "Machine Head".

Shades of Deep Purple for a good start. Stormbringer or Power House for their more proto-metal moments.

While you should definitely check it out eventually, I'm one of the few who thinks all of their best material is before "Burn". I just think Ian Gillan is a much, much better fit than David Coverdale.

If you want to hear a good live performance I'd personally suggest Live in Stockholm 1970, but Made in Japan is the old standby. You can also find a great mk3 concert on youtube from london, its audio only, but its mostly Burn material and all played top notch.

Bottom line listen to a mk2 live performance of Mandrake Root.

Agreed. Coverdale in DP is not nearly as bad a fit as Hagar in VH, but Ian Gillian just fit the DP sound much better than Mr. Tawny Kitaen. And Machine Head and In Rock are the two I would start out with as well.

First get Machine Head, its their popular & well known album (not my favorite though) Then get 'In Rock' (My favorite) then Burn then Fireball. They're the essential ones.

note. If you buy 'In Rock' go straight to track 3 (Child in Time) its will blow your mind!

In Rock is my favorite album (obviously?), personally I think it's better than Machine Head. Songs like Bloodsucker and Speed King, and of course, Child In Time are just amazing

The groove Ian Paice lays down on 'Living Wreck' is so awesome.
