Have any of you bought a second bundle to get a second guitar, or are you waiting for HMX to release the stand alone guitar. I traded in some games and got a second set. Mainly for the guitar but now I have replacement drums and mic.

Just curious if anyone else did something simular.

I had briefly considered it, but knew that it would behoove me to wait. Now it looks like we're either going to be getting stand alone guitars OR GH3 guitar compatibility soon, or both.

My sister just bought a PS3 along with RockBand (after the bad ass demostration I gave my family this last weekend ;)) So now I can borrow the guitar from her when I need it. :D and vice versa of course.

Yes, if the GH3 compatibility issue is solved....then the temptation of forking out $170+ should subside. HOWEVER, if I can get the drums to be mapped on my computer to samples, THIS would increase the temptation. I'm a sucker for tempting myself.

I'm thinking about it. Yeah, it's expensive, but it's a real drag when I have four people that want to play and only have three instruments. Besides having spare instruments if the others break down, you would also be able to do head-to-head locally for any of the instruments that way. Might be able to recoup some of the costs by selling the copy of the game.

I bought a second bundle and sold all the pieces (except the guitar) on ebay. It worked out that I ended up paying $6.xx for my second guitar.

i did the same but sold the rest as the bundle with no guitar, the 2nd guitar ended up costing me like 65 bucks

I bought two bundles. I had plans the first week for several get togethers for the game and didn't want to be stuck with only one guitar. I'm also looking forward to some drum vs. drum gameplay this weekend; and I've heard that a simple Y-splitter will let you connect two foot pedals to one kit, so I'm going to try that for some double-bass action. Though it appears that the charts don't really require it - it's more novelty than anything else.

Also, since one of the guitars has started to get flakey, I've got one good one to use while waiting for my replacement to arrive. Now if I can just remember which one is which.

If the PS3 version was compatible with my GH3 Les Paul controller I never would have bought the second bundle. So, am I rewarding Harmonix for lack of compatiblity with additional sales? Yeah...but I don't really care. The GH series has been good to me - and Rock Band is Joy in a Box as far as I'm concerned. I'll give them lots of slack.

You could probably sell those extra peripherals on eBay...some poor schmuck who bought the standalone version might snap it up.

Well, It worked out well for me. The total I got for the drums, mic, and game was $174.xx

I thought about buying 2, but my guitar busted after 2 days and I'm not going to buy another set that may have a busted guitar. So, I'm just gonna have to wait.:o

i bought 2 bundles, hopefully i can sell the 2nd one soon with the game, drums and mic. dont know if i want to hassle with ebay and shipping so maybe i canfind someone in the dallas area who wants it :)
