I'm wondering if there is a way to turn off the vocals while you sing so that you're not singing over the actual vocals of the song.

Any response would be helpful

Not that I know of although I've wished for the same thing...it'd be nice to only hear my own voice so everyone can really hear how terrible I sound :)

You would think that the smarties over at harmonix would've thought about that one detail when deciding to add that feature.

I am pretty sure there is awy to do this. you can turn the mic volume all the way down. go into the vocal options under audio options and check it out.

You would want to turn the vocal track all the way down, not the mic volume.
I suppose that should work, but I haven't tried turning it all the way down.

I believe if you hold down "B" on the 360 controller (hopefully that maps to "O" on the PS3) during the song it will bring up a "Vocal Volume" slider that you can adjust. As previously mentioned the Vocal Options also has a slider for the in-game Vocals as well (or at least I remember seeing that :) ).

Thank you.

I work at a bar in Jackson, MI, and we have the Rockband bundle, so people can play it there. We just got it all set up today and I haven't really got into it much (other than testing the instruments out briefly) but I noticed that the vocals were present when I tried the mic out.

I'll try it when I get into work tonight.
