I've got a Mic stand at home but the holder on the top is too small for the Rock Band Mic. Anyone have a suggestion of what kind of adapter to get? I need something like this, but larger. I don't know what size or where to get it though
RadioShack (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103336&cp=&sr=1&origkw=mic&kw=mic&parentPage=search)
Thanks for any help

I got a butterfly clip from Musician's Friend, that way the size of the mic doesn't matter, it'll hold anything. Works just fine.

What you need is one of these. (http://www.samash.com/catalog/showitem.asp?ItemPos=8&TempID=9&DepartmentID=5&STRID=162449&CategorySubID=95&CategoryID=95&BrandID=0&CategorySubPriceRangeID=0&pagesize=10&SortMethod=2&Method=3&PriceRangeID=0&SearchPhrase=&Contains=&Search_Type=Department&GroupCode=&categorysubsearch=true) $3.75. Done.
Alternately, you can take your mic to any music store and they can find you a clamp that will fit it.

I got a regular mic holder from a local music store...was a tight fit, but it's working fine for me.

I have it, it works.

I purchased two of these rubber mic clips (http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/ProLine-Rubber-Microphone-Clip?sku=279102) an am pleased with them. They feel like they're too tight when you first get them, but let the mic sit in it for a night and you'll find that the rubber has adjusted to the 30mm handle of the microphone.
And I'd also like to take this opportunity to praise the customer service at Musician's Friend. I ordered one of the On-Stage Stands boom mics. After it arrived, I noticed it was missing a rubber foot, so I contacted MF to see if they could send me just an extra foot. They couldn't, so they instead sent me a whole new stand, no charge, and let me keep the first one.
Bummer I can't do the same thing with my busted Strat. ;)

I used one from another mic I have. It's very hard rubber. At first I didn't think it would fit, but then I realized the clip is designed to stretch. The mic slides in perfectly and is held tight with no slipping. I would imagine any general clip will work.

Saw this on Sam Ash for $8. (http://www.samash.com/catalog/showitem.asp?ItemPos=7&TempID=8&DepartmentID=5&STRID=164823&CategorySubID=95&CategoryID=95&BrandID=0&CategorySubPriceRangeID=0&pagesize=10&SortMethod=3&Method=3&PriceRangeID=0&SearchPhrase=&Contains=&Search_Type=Department&GroupCode=&categorysubsearch=true) It's 30mm, same as RB mic.

Awesome, thank you to everyone who replied. I'm going to either pick up the Radio Shack one or the Musician's Friend one. Thanks again!

Why would you buy one that's twice as expensive as the cheapest one linked in this thread?
It's not like you're gonna be running around on a stage swinging the mic stand around like Steven Tyler...the cheapest clip you can find that fits will be just fine.

Because if one can be purchased locally, it might cost the same as a clip and shipping?
