Ion drumset (PS3) problem

My hi hat sometimes also registers a snare hit and my ride cymbal sometimes also registers a floor tom hit. I am certain I'm not accidentally hitting those drums. The only solution I have found so far is unplugging the snare or floor tom, but I would like to be able to use them. Anyone know a way to fix this?

Are the clamps close together?

I had this problem with my crash cymbal and blue tom. It was indeed because the clamps were too close together. Try moving them an inch or so further apart and then angling the stand so they are still in the same place at the top.
