(XB360) Mic + DLC Problem

I recently bough Rock Band2, and after a few songs my microphone just died. It stopped working in the middle of a song, and now it does not recognize anything. It's like it is not even plugged in.

The second problem is with the DLC redeem code that comes included, it says on marketplace that it is invaild.

First problem: RMA the microphone if you have had it less than 60 days and you have your receipt. Otherwise, purchase a USB microphone (most of them work).
