It makes me sad that nobody has mentioned anything by Rage Against the Machine. Go download Bombtrack, Take the Power Back, and Know Your Enemy. Great bass lines. I also agree that the Chili Peppers dole out some sweet bass. Flea is a monster. See: Aeroplane and Can't Stop. Another fun bass line would be Incubus - Are You In, but that's not really a good song for Rock Band. Just try to listen to the bass line, it's slick.

Alot of good songs mentioned, a few I'd have to add...

One of These Days - Pink Floyd I honestly can't believe someone hasn't added this, I know Money is more well known (this song is earlier, off of the Meddle album I believe) but this song is pretty much all bass; Roger at his best.

The Lemon Song - Led Zeppelin This is perhabs the #1 song I would like to see added as DLC.

Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds - The Beatles Paul McCartney is in my opinion one of the most underrated bass players ever, he changed the way the bass was played by everybody else that has come since.

One of these day is excellent but it's not a popular song and the bassline doesn't really stick in your head. That's why Money was proposed so many times.

I'd like to add Ted, Just Admit It by Jane's Addiction.

Super Mario Brothers by Phish also have great bass.

Sunshine of your love by Cream is good, though not the best named in this thread lol.
