Instrumental Songs?

Sorry, I don't know if this has been discussed yet, but I was worried that due to the karaoke aspect of the game there won't be any instrumental songs in it, which I thought were some of the better songs of the Guitar Heroes. Any thoughts?

Well they could still have them.. just with no vocals simple as that

Yeah I don't see why they couldn't include instrentals. A bunch of us have said they will probably be different set lists for each career, so the instrumentals just wouldn't be included as part of the vocals career.

And when your doing 4 player (possibly in set of 5/10 songs uninterrupted) the sing would still have their little tambourine/cowbell/whatever to jam along with.

I had similar concerns, that rock band would restrict itself by needing to supply 4 parts for each song. This would cause problems for things like you said have no vocals, or similarly there are certain bands for example The White Stripes that have no bass/rhythm guitar so there would only be three parts for that too.

I guess one solution is for multiplayer purposes you would not be able to play those, or would not be able to play those with four people. Instead they would be only playable in career.

However I don't really think this is much of an option because the whole premise behind rockband is to play with four people. It has been stated in interviews that they are only going with songs that would be fun to play with everyone, so I'm not too sure about instrumentals is Rock Band.

as previosly stated if you were the singer and the band had to play an instrumental song you could just play the tamberine, maracas, or something like that.

There won't be any instrumentals in the game. The tambourine tapping was just meant to keep the singer occupied during parts with no vocals. They wouldn't force the singer to tap during an entire song. And to people suggesting that there will be different set lists for the careers... of course there will. But it will just be re-ordered. They're not going to omit songs from certain careers. That would probably just upset people.

I hope there isn't any. I hated them in the GH games. Except Spanish Castle Magic but that's supposed to have vocals it just didn't.

Jessica? I was so bored playing it I had to find a song to match up with it just so I could 100% on medium. Didn't bother playing it since.

YYZ? I'm Canadian and I would've rather had no Rush at all than this.

Misirlou? Maybe if it was in the same style from Pulp Fiction.

Frankenstein? It turned out better than expected but still didn't really like it.

Jordan? It was ok at first but it got to a point I just didn't care anymore.

I never gave much thought to it, but some of my favourites are in that list. Jessica was great fun, especially 2 player Co-Op. Frankenstein back on GH1 was awesome and Jordan... Well it's Jordan.

If there could be one instrumental in Rock Band, I'd vote for the Halo theme... I know "Halo Suxxxxxooorrrs" or whatever. But I love that song, it'd be great for this type of game. I sure hope they don't knock instrumentals out just because of the lack of vocals. Time will tell... so close to the e3 party...
