View Full Version : Not getting 20 frre song code

K so i entered my redemtion code almost 2 days ago and i have not got anything. i checked my spam and everythuing but nothing is there. So i tried to go redeem under a new email but says the code has already been used. i emailed customer support twice about this but no response. has anyone had this problem and how did u get it resolved?:mad:

I am in the same boat with PepanCK and Cody02, regestered-vaerified and still waiting for the number for the 20 songs and it has been 72 hs for me. Thanks for the post swmabie, I too emailed EA, I am sure I will be getting that very same message very soon

the free songs in the music store are OUR free 20 songs.
seems easier to solve the problem buy just making them free in the music store, than to be dealing with all those emails. especially since it will be for every Wii RB2 disc sold.

the free songs don't need the redemption code anymore.
and soon enough we (Wii) will have track packs and more updated dlc content access just like the big boys.

You guys are gonna love this....EA is playing the blame game now...this is the response from EA to the redemption code issue:

"Thank you for taking the time to contact us regarding your Rock Band purchase. It is always a pleasure to assist our customers in any way that we can.

We apologize for the delay with your Rock Band 2 Download code. There seems to be a bit of a delay with the confirmation emails getting sent out. Because Harmonix runs this system, we do not have much information on the issue or any way to speed up the process. All we can ask is that you please be patient while waiting for your emails and refer to Rockband.com for any further information regarding this."

Day 7 and still no codes.....

been waiting months here literally months. this is dealing with EA for you, they are a black hole and chances are we are all likely NEVER going to get what was promised to us.

So I have been checking the other forums on this site and here is another group that is having trouble:

Looks like there is some opinion that the codes are not used anymore and you can find all 20 songs for free. All I have found for my PS3 is 4 free songs...I am guessing the 20 free ones are for Wii users, anyone know?

I also emailed Harmonix about this and it has been 6 days with no response from them...

Only Wii users do not need codes. This is because Wii RB1 did not have DLC, so any person with access to the free DLC must be accessing it through RB2.

If the code on your game manual is 16 characters, you need to use the website to get your download code. It looks like they are still having problems with that system. As far as I am aware, your only other possibility is to email support@harmonixmusic.com, but many people have been waiting a while for responses from that address as well.

If the code on your game manual is 25 characters, you can redeem that code on your system for the free song pack.

Sorry that some of you are still waiting for confirmation emails.

Some email clients are outright rejecting emails from the distribution tool that we're using, which is why it's not ending up in personal spam folders.

If you're waiting on a confirmation email, the Support and Contact Us tabs at the bottom of the forum are the best way to reach us (as opposed to reporting posts). We've been receiving a huge influx of email since the launch of RB2, so if you'd like a more immediate response you can send a PM (or a friend request followed by a PM) to HMXcj or myself and we'll distribute codes as needed.
