Hi, I'm running out of space on my 80GB drive, and I'm planning on upgrading to a Scorpio Blue 500GB drive. My question is: will I retain all my trophies, save data, and save games since I'm just transfering to a new HDD and not a new PS3? I'd hate to lose my band, my band mates, and all of my achievements :(
Thanks in advance.

As long as you back up all your data onto an external HDD and then restore it back, you'll be perfectly fine.
Scorpio Blue 500gb is what I actually got in my PS3 right now too.

Sweet, thanks, I'm gonna get it ASAP.
Might be off topic, but trophies and stuff will be restored too right? Not just RB2 but everything as long as it's backed up to external, HDD change only, not PS3 change, then recovered?

if you back it up onto an external and swap out the HDD, and then restore everything back onto the new HDD: everything will work.
it won't work if it was a different ps3.

One warning though: you still have your trophies, but you won't see them until you load the games you won trophies in.

From what I understand the RB2 stuff does not save for transfer. It will not allow you to back up your saved data due to funky copyright stuff. You might want to do some more research before doing it.

You can't manually copy your save data or the game file, but both will copy with the backup utility.

That's what I first assumed as well since I noticed you can't copy data from account to account but as long you back up the utility you'll be fine.

You'd be better off starting your own thread if you want anyone to look at the issue. Posting in other unrelated threads will get you no where.
