ive had 4 people in a row quit on my while playing tug of war online. One guy even waited all the way until the song was over then left. Its ok to lose a game now and then theres no reason to run away with your tail between your legs because someone is beating you.

It pisses me off on RB, and other games on xbox live too for that matter. It needs to be fixed, I know it leaves room for serious exploitation, but it's just not fair for those that want to do it right. I've had people leave me in every single match ive played unless the score was extremely close.

Leave them negatives in their profile. That'll show them!

im going for 5 consecutive tug if war wins. I already have the one for score dual but people seem to like to quit tug of war at the first sign they are going to lose

Agreed this is very lame, same thing happens to me all the time but what can you do? Wait for Harmonix/XboxLive to patch their crap or leave negative feedback for the player. Outside of that we are kind of stuck :(.

Ahh, the beauty of Xbox Live. I agree people shouldn't do this, but people do alot of things online they shoud not do, like scream profanities and racial slurs. Play with friends or people you know, otherwise it's just another immature idiot pulling stunts like this.

Yesterday, a dude quit on me within the first minute of the song because a had a full combo going on medium. I sent him a message saying "FAIL!" and he replies, "thats cool." I say, "No, dude, it's not. You need to finish the song, not just quit because you're losing." You know what he says to me?

"dude u need 2 get a lyfe lol!"

I wanted to just kick pedal him in the face. Honestly, who says that?

I HATE it when someone quits on me, at least it negatively affects their rank and as far as ranking goes, it still counts as a win (but not for acheivements). I kept getting the same guy 3-4 times in a row and EVERYTIME he quit on me near the very end, if you know im gonna beat you everytime, at least man up and quit at the beginning and not waste my time. i did manage to get through enough games to get the 5 in a row and 20 wins achievements to get a level 32 and rank 11 on the 360 guitar leaderboard.

I think it's pretty ironic to call people impulsive and selfish for quitting early when you're on there with the express intent of earning achievements. The lesser of two evils to be sure.

I suggest find someone willing to throw five songs in a row for you and do the same to him so you can get your silly achievements and then move on.

anyone who advocates douchebaggery is a douchebag himself. He's nots crewing anyone to get his goal he's just playing the game. Quitting the song early just rips a win from someone who deserves. The best thing you can do is report it. XBL actually gets policed and even if your report someone once for leaving a game early XBL crew can actually check their other matches and then act accordingly.

Are you serious? You think trying to get achievements by playing the game in the fashion it was exactly designed for counts as some sort of evil? You think the best way to solve the problem is attempting to exploit it with a friend? You don't think it's complete crap that people won't finish a song because it'll hurt their precious winning streak (and, seriously... that should count as a loss)?

Something tells me you're just defending you're own behavior.

This has happened to me too... Three times... Severely annoying. Then again, your not one of those douche bags who plays on medium when you should be on expert right? Because that's just lame and you should expect people to quit on your ass.

That's what I was kind of getting at. If his want for achievements had exactly no adverse effect on his behavior, then no problem at all. But most people will have their behavior influenced by their goals. While I cannot speak for the OP, one would be tempted to seek out inferior players and/or play on a lower-than-your-level difficulty level to achieve technical success in a manner inconsistent with the spirit of the achievement.

There are various levels of unscrupulous behavior when it comes to pursuing achievements from unplugging the network cable when about to lose (worse) to playing the wrong difficulty level to seeking inferior opponents to playing as if the achievement didn't exist (nicest). The last of that list is becoming increasingly a rarity in online gaming, but kudos to the OP if that is indeed the case.

Having a deal with your friend may be douchebaggery, but it's minor and does not affect any unwitting participants. The sooner the achievement is attained through whatever means, the sooner that trophy no longer looms on the horizon tempting toward the aforementioned unscrupulous behavior.

Now to deal with the unsavory rantings of ZkDotNet:

Are you serious? You think trying to get achievements by playing the game in the fashion it was exactly designed for counts as some sort of evil? No evil at all, but it's not guaranteed that not disconnecting equates with being fully on the level. Yes I do think that exploiting it with a friend is one of the best solutions since it frees other bystanders from potentially sour play. I do think it's complete crap that people won't finish a song that they are losing; it's better for their personality and for the online experience of others. It's unfortunate that the occasional legitimate hardware failure will cause someone to have a recorded loss, but until the scoring system can differentiate between malicious exploitation and accidents I feel malice shouldn't get a free ride.

While it has occurred to me to utilize the friend-exploit to get some achievements (RB and other games), I have yet to simply because I don't care quite enough to go through with the exercise. I need not defend my actions and motivations because I believe my good friends Logic and Reason fill in nicely for that purpose.
