They will try to deliver 3 consecutive business days. If they are not able to reach you, you will have to pick it up from the nearest UPS center.

After you get your first (or second) notice, I'd try to stay home the next day if it's at all possible. I worked from home when I knew my GHIII was coming via UPS.

ups will attempt the next day to deliver again. If they try three times, and you are not home, they will hold the package for 5 days for pick up. If you do not pick it up by then, UPS will return the package to the sender. This is a UPS rule, not harmonix.

You can also call UPS after you get the first info notice of delivery and have them hold the package, or ship to a different address (such as work), or some other options I am unsure of without calling the number.

There are options for you, though, but you will have to wait to get your first info notice before you can call UPS about it.

I received my guitar from UPS. They just left it outside my door.

It doesn't look like it's marked for signature. If it was, they would have left a note indicating they have attempted to deliver but were not able to.

Since they don't require a signature, they will leave it at your door unless there is a specific reason not to (i.e weather).

UPS may not leave it at your door if you live on the wrong side of the tracks, such as I do, which is a good thing.

Imagine someone stealing what looks like a large xmas gift outside my door, only to find an empty box! It would serve them right. In fact, I may leave some empty boxes outside my door tonight. :)

LMAO!! It would serve them right for stealing it.

Yeah that would be another reason UPS might not leave it on your doorstep.

how fun would that be for UPS to be mailing an empty box?

They do it ALL the time. I always feel silly when I ship an empty.

haha i have never had to ship one before. Just seems like it could be folded up and shoved in an envelope. An empty box is like a cube of useless space, just sitting there taunting you. It probably would have been cheaper if EA paid ups to bring one of their own boxes all folded to your house than have to pay money to ship nothing. Just the thought of that is making me laugh

Poo in them first. That'll REALLY show them.
