So, agree, disagree, agree to disagree...whatever. These are songs that I think are worthy of being in rock band. I won't list them by genre for I don't want to have the replies filled with music nerds definitions of genres. If I can think of three or more songs, I'll suggest a pack (or two), if I can't...then they could be single downloads (although, why weezer's blue album is only being released one song at a time is beyond me. It's a classic.)

I've heard of all the bands in the "What?! You've never heard of these bands? pack", and I'm not a terribly big fan of any of them, but I'm willing to admit they might be fun in the game.

I'd choose Suburban Legends over any of them, personally, though. Mm, Suburban Legends.

Motion City Soundtrack, blink-182, Reel Big Fish - big yes, although I don't agree the ones you chose are the best.

Coheed and Cambria, Alkaline Trio, and Jimmy Eat World are good picks too, but the ones I previously mentioned I'd prefer more.

And the rest certainly aren't bad picks, just not as big of a fan of them.

i do have to admit, i would love to see some of the bands you listed.. like the guy above me said, i'd change a couple of the songs included (jimmy eat world "pain" = yes)

i'd love to see all american rejects, blink 182, cartel, coheed and cambria, fall out boy, jimmy eat world, paramore, goldfinger, and more foreigner..

i think harmonix would bring a new audience in with more modern music as well, cuz everytime me and my friends have our girl friends over they go straight for the fall out boy song, and they'd love all american rejects, blink 182, paramore, etc etc

I'd like to start out by saying that I'm happy with the songs they picked, and I like that they picked songs that would be interesting for all of the players equally. I think they did a good job of taking songs from different eras and genres, and I know it's really hard to make anyone/everyone happy.
That being said. It would be awesome to get a list of suggestions going and then get to vote on it and have the winners (and some of the really good runners-up) added to the downloadable content. Also, it would be really cool to be able to have an add-on that lets us put in our own music. (I wouldn't mind putting the parts, vocals in by hand - bluetooth keyboard, anyone?)

I was also thinking that Nightwish - Amaranth would be fun to play/sing

Also, it would be cool to have some orchestral stuff - maybe map the guitar to strings and the drums to percussion (think, timpani, bells, etc.), and the vocals to winds or voices.

Random: it would be fun to have a holiday sing-along pack ;)

I don't think anyone really wants Rock Band to be all bloated up with whiny nu metal and sugary ponk like Blink-182 (pop-punk). Okay some people do, but no one cares about those people... :P

On the other hand I totally second Coheed with Favor House Atlantic. We need more stuff for the girls to sing, hah hah.

The Cure would be so sick, I would love it.

Mae would also be a fantastic choice, almost anything by them would be great on Rock Band.

as far as the good initial mix and the game getting clogged with songs you don't want... i mean, it's DLC. the whole point of DLC is for people who want it. i mean i'm not going to buy a metallica pack (say what you will) but plenty of people will. i would buy anything buy the who, cheap trick, alkaline trio, probably coheed, actually a lot of bands. I think they should use DLC to cater to people on both side of the lines. Put it up there, if we buy we do, if not take it down.

I love everything that's in the game right now, but I'm literally dying for some Taking Back Sunday. I'm just picturing the late nite singalongs becoming like 100 times less annoying by getting a whole fake band together to play the songs.

*Note* I'm not saying these are my favorite Yellowcard songs, But They are more of the
"Everyone has heard them" more than some others. Well, maybe not the last one, but thats one of my top 5 yellowcard songs. and is a blast to sing just in the car, imagine on RB.

*Note* 2: I know yellowcard has a Violin, so that ads an obstical, but you could always just make the guitar play it... its not authentic, but really, its a video game, nothing is authentic.
