I am going to make RB videos with my Laptop's webcam, but the software included only works for taking photos

What software can i use that will take videos using my webcam???

BTW: What is the best video editing software??

the best for windows that i have run across is the stuff that sony is putting out... but its pretty expensive.

before you buy anything, id go to sourceforge and check out if there is anything there that looks good to you. and everything on source forge is going to be free since its open sourced software.

magix makes a pretty decent video editor that costs about $70 for the pro or like $40 for regular

P.S. also Adobe After Effects is very good but i do not know the price of that one...Sony Vegas is the best thought

First off though, you'll want to ask yourself if the internet really needs more footage of Rock Band being played on a television two feet in front of the camera. No matter how hard you try or how good your camera is, recording the screen will look like crap. If you're serious about making Rock Band vids, you'll want to get some sort of recording device that plugs into your TV and records the output. Capture cards and some video cameras can do this, as well as some DVRs and VCRs.

If you're just screwing around like most of us, then by all means, disregard my post. :D

Depends on if you have video capture hardware in your PC. If so, yes.
