Seriously this is getting ridiculous. If my **** isn't shipped tomorrow EA can go **** themselves. I will be returning all of my "special edition" RB to the store. The game is fun but only when you can play it. So So SO disappointed. As I am sure money others are. Please dont tell me to be patient. People are getting replacements in days and I have waited a week already. I keep getting the same rhetoric.

"It is in the warehouse ready to go out"

"It should go out today or tomorrow"

Is lying part of EAs mission statement??

I put in for my drum replacement at 6am PST on 10-20 and still nothing. EA said they were shipped on monday(even though UPS still shows billing info received), which is obviously not true as it is now thursday and I haven't gotten them.

Moderators need to clear this forum of all these junk posts.

You sir are an idiot. What good could this post possibly do....hmmm maybe the various Harmonix and EA employees that scan these forums might check into why drums have not shipped yet. And is it still the Thanksgiving week... last i check that ended last friday. Its thursday if they still havent shipped then there is a problem. Unlike the guitar problem where most of us could just use the other guitars there isnt any other option and a lack of response is very dissapointing considering the money shelled out on the bundle in the first place.

I don't know if you've read other posts here but there's a problem when people order 2 days ago and have gotten their items yet others (like me) ordered 9 days ago...it has NOTHING to do with Thanksgiving...they haven't listened when calling them so I am hopeful someone reads these posts...I think I have a right to be upset when I paid $170 10 days ago and have only been able to use the mic...so let me guess - you are not having the problems I am having right? Exactly...

Ok, that makes a little more sense and i am starting to see your side. still you may want to give it a little more time, the game did just come out not much more than a week ago.

Hey guys, for any of you that have sent letters to EA, can you post them here and their response? I have done the same, and here are mine and the responses. I doubt I will be able to get anything more than a replacement guitar, but I feel that is not good enough since this problem should not have happened in the first place. As of today, I still do not have my replacement guitar.

This is my original complaint letter.

I had pre-ordered Rock Band from my local Gamestop, so I could guarantee that I would have one by Thanksgiving so my family and I could enjoy it over the holiday. I bring the game home Wednesday night and the guitar doesn't work. Now I am stuck with a game I can't play, because obviously stores are closed on Thanksgiving. Frist thing Friday, I called the store where I bought the game and explained the situation. They told me they had an extra one and to pack up my game and bring it all back to the store. I drive the 20 miles to the store only to be told by a manager they don't have any left. He then calls a couple other stores and finds one that has extras. I drive 10 miles to this store and speak to a manager. She tells me that EA is not allowing returns to the store, that you have to use their warranty service online. WHAT? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I just paid $170 for a piece of junk that doesn't work, and EA tells stores they can't exchange for one that does work? WHERE IS THE LOGIC IN THIS!!!! Had EA not been so ludicrous in this policy, I could be sitting at home playing my game. But no, all EA has done is make me mad that I have to wait 2 days to get a new guitar. Well today being Friday, Im sure it wont come until Monday. Plus how do I know I won't have a faulty guitar shipped to me? If EA supposedly checked out all the parts before shipping, why did I get a broken one in the first place. You can imagine how mad I will be if I get another broken one in the mail. I like how you supposedly put a piece of paper in the box stating "In the unlikely event something doesnt work..." Unlikely? I don't think so. All I am hearing on the internet is how there are many problems with the guitar. My question, is what will EA Games do for me, to compensate for my time driving from store to store, and my time wasted not being able to play this game? Any help is appreciated. I have already requested a new one to be shipped using your online request form.

Kevin

Hello Kevin,

Thanks for contacting EA Technical Support! Your issue has been escalated to me to assist you with the issue. I apologize for the inconvenience that you had with the replacement of the guitar. Unfortunately we don't allow store to replace the items since we offer the replacements our self which we can send a replacement directly to your doorstep. EA and the local retailers have a disclaimer about this and they should know that information and should explain it with their customer as well.
You can proceed on our Rock Band warranty process found on our support
site http://support.ea.com/rockband.

You can however contact Customer Support at 1 (650) 628-1001. Live agents are available 24 hours per day to assist you with Warranty issues. Have your personal information ready to give to an agent and they would be able to assist you with having your instruments replace.

Should you require further assistance about this or any Electronic Arts games in the future please visit our website and review our extensive Self Help knowledgebase

Thank you for the response, but I have already used your online service to request a new guitar. I did this on Friday 11/23/07 at 11AM. I was told I would have a new guitar on my doorstep within 2 days. I have received nothing. I am extremely dissatisfied with the way this issue is being handled. How can you expect people to pay $170 for something that doesn't work and not be mad about it. Obviously you guys knew there would be a problem if you put a piece of paper in the box saying you have to return defective equipment directly to you guys. Normally when you buy something at a store, you have 7 days or so to exhange it for an identical item that works. I feel there should be some compensation for this outside of getting a working guitar for free. I should have had a working guitar from the start, or be able to get one from the store at which i bought the game. Others are able to play the game and enjoy it, why should i have the game for a week, and
not be able to play it.

Hello Kevin,

I apologize for the inconvenience for the long wait of your package. Regarding this issue, due in part of the holidays, there has been a delay with the shipping. For now, what we can suggest is to contact UPS for more information on the shipment of your replaced item. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that this issue caused. Be rest assured though, that we are doing the best we can to send your items to you as quickly as possible.

If you have any other questions feel free to reply to this e-mail, and we will be very glad to help you out to the best of my ability.

Thank you very much for the quick reply, I appreciate it. Please know that obviously this complaint is not directed at you. I just hope you can understand the frustration we are all feeling. The game came out right at Thanksgiving, and people had family over to play the game. When one of the components of the game doesn't work, it puts a downer on the whole experience. I do find it odd that people that requested new guitars this past Monday already have working guitars. Why I do not have one yet is beyond me. I still am unsure how this happened. Why is there such a problem with the guitars, so much that there was this slip of paper in the box saying that the stores can not accept returns. My box actually didn't have this in it, thats why I was unaware of the policy until the 2nd Gamestop store I went to. I wasted time chasing something that could not be provided to me in the end. I agree getting a new guitar free of charge is nice, and I appreciate that, but honestly the guitar I got when I purchased the game should have been working in the first place and if not, we should have been allowed to exchange it in the store.. This is why I think something above a free guitar should be provided in a situation such as this.
