If you've purchased ''Fortunate Son'' (which most of you should have), if your on Quickplay, and you look under songs by decade, ''Fortunate Son'' is listed under the 70's. When in reality, the song was released in 1969. Kinda annoying that they would make a mistake like that. Not a big deal, but still, pretty lazy.
Anyone else notice that?

While "Fortunate Son" was on the "Willy and the Poor Boys" album released November of 1969, the album and the singles were "charted" in 1970.
So while you might be technically correct that "Fortunate Son" was release in 1969, I wouldn't consider it an error at all. "Fortunate Son" is a single of 1970.

Dunno. I'm with the OP on this one. If it was released in '69, it should be in the 60's.
But, it's very minor.

I stand corrected. Fortunate Son was released as a single in September of 1969 and was #25 on the Billboard Top 100 for 1969.
You're right, this is wrong.

Maybe it's like cars, the 1970 models are actually released in 1969 ;)

Speaking of minor errors.
I did catch one in the performance of the band...towards the end of the song, the lead singer will stage dives into the crowd and then there's a cutaway just for a very split second and then all of sudden the singer is back on stage for the big band outro rock ending.
Does anybody know what song this was. Off the top of my head, I can't remember.

There's actually an old developer blog posting about this sort of thing. Basically, each cut scene is independent. If you really pay attention, you'll find all sorts of places where members just jump around. It was just one of the things they had to accept or push the date back for.

Or how about when the guitarist smashes his guitar but the a split second later it is back around his neck?

There's a ton of that. Although i love the animations it can be distracting. One of my favorites is when the guitarist joins the singer singing a certain part. I love it but it's distracting when half a second later they are very far from each other. Also, sometimes they will go from a certain "dance" to another in a very choppy motion. It's not fluid at all. It's not a big deal but it stands out considering how otherwise amazing the stage performances are. Hopefully the can do something with a patch but it might not be easy.

It's not an error, there was a blog talking about how that is all done deliberately to give the background the energy and feel of concert films

What? There are stage performances? I had not noticed. I am too busy trying to hit those scrolling rectangular thingies. :o

One of my favorite animations is when Ballroom Blitz is being played and the lead singer says
"You ready Steve?" and the guitarists answers yea followed by a response by the other band members.
I got a chuckle out of that one.

I personally like when you sort the songs "Alpha by Artist" and David Bowie comes up under "D" instead of "B".
The minor stuff like this doesn't bug me that much. I'm too busy having fun playing to notice.

Yeah, the animations are not sequential on purpose. Rather than being a simulation of a single rock concert, they are music videos of concert footage.
