It has probably been requested (I don't want to go through 165 pages though), but I'd like to see some Dream Theater songs in Rock Band, especially stuff like Metropolis Part 1, Caught in a Web, and Pull Me Under.
Change of Seasons would be the ultimate song though... I realize its 23+ min long, but I'd be more than willing to pay extra to get it.
I'm downloading the Metallica Pack 1 as I'm typing this, but I'd like to see a few songs from my favorite band.
Nice job on the game... just let us purchase those extra guitars!

Oh... and browsing this forum, I've noticed the sticky with a lot of listed downloadable songs...
However, going to the PSN, I only notice 3 song packs, and the ability to download each of the songs in the song pack seperately.
I'm hoping that there are plans to bring these songs over to the PSN (I assume they're out on Live).

i second the selection of Dream Theater. Metropolis Part 1, Pull Me Under, Change of Seasons (this would be amazing), As I Am.
These would all be great additions.

This is the perfect song pack minus As I Am (I'm not a big post Six Degrees fan). Metropolis part 1 would be by FARRRRRR the hardest song on Rock Band for every instrument including voice and bass. Rock Band is definitely lacking some "boss songs", and I think Dream Theater would fill that role very well, in addition to pleasing prog rock fans.
Realistically though, I highly doubt Change of Seasons would appear in Rock Band since it's sooooo long.
Glass Prison, the Spirit Carries On, and Take the Time would also be AWESOME. Glass Prison would be so epic.

if you wanted to please prog fans you'd let them stay as far away from dream theater as possible

OK, we get it; you don't like Dream Theater. Surely though there's a reason that the Images and Words album is considered something of a cornerstone of prog rock, right?

There's such thing as a 23 min song? Jesus... sound like fun :)

Personally, I think it is one of the best songs ever written. My only concern would be the difficulty of the song. Its one thing playing a hard song for 4 minutes. Its another thing to play an insanely difficult song for 23 minutes.
If you haven't heard A Change of Seasons, I highly recommend it, especially if you like other DT stuff.

whilst I would love to see DT in rock band, i really cant see it happening, its way too complex, makes tom sawyer look like the birthday song.
although i do remember reading in an online article somewhere that mike portney when asked about the possibility said that he would love to see one of their songs in GH or RB, just waiting for the offer!

I want Dream Theater in Rock Band, too. Any song at this point.

I disagree with you to some degree. Pretty much every music game has its own set of super duper hard songs that relatively few people can beat. Once Harmonix realizes that people are easily capable of beating all existing songs, I expect them to challenge people with at least a couple of songs that will blow us out of the water (as they did with Jordan in GH2).
As for Mike Portnoy, yeah, he's very open and free with his music. He openly supports people bootlegging all of their concerts. He just wants to please his fans and I hope that Harmonix gives him the chance to do so.

This is something really interesting:
Dream Theater is Xbox LIVE Artist of the Month!

Stuff like this makes me very hopeful of their songs being included in Rockband. It certainly appears as its the direction DT wants to go, so all that's left is HMX to seize the day.
