Honestly I dont like Welcome to the Jungle or Rock You Like a Hurricane.

Hopefully Rock Band will get something for you GnR fans though (I personally hope for Paradise City since its a way better song)

Just because GH3 has it confirmed, doesn't mean that Rock Band can't as well.

well I sure hope as hell we wont see the same songs in two games, how freaking annoying would that be. No thanks. I'll take different songs per games please. more to play.

Amen, I don't want to see any songs repeated in any of the games. Jungle is a good song, but Nightrain or Paradise City would own it. Personally I'm just happy to reap the rewards of this competition between Harmonix and Neversoft.

So, let me get this straight, has the song been officially confirmed or is it just assumed to be on GH3 because of a leaked gameplay video, similar to how we were assuming it was on Rock Band? If this is the case, that neither is official and both companies have recorded and mapped the song, this could get quite interesting. We will hopefully found out if it's possible for a song to be in both games, and if not, then we'll find out who has the bigger muscles. Unless, as said by others, Rock Band goes with another, possibly better GnR song.

Watch the video. It's not a leaked video. It's the official trailer.

Very cool. I had not seen that yet. I'm not that excited to have to battle "bosses" although I wonder who the others will be besides Slash. Even if they have welcome to the jungle, it really means nothing, I expect both games to have a few songs in common.

Annoying? It'd be a hilarious comparison between the two games.

"Play Welcome to the Jungle on bass and guitar in Guitar Hero III!"

"Play Welcome to the Jungle on bass, guitar, vocals, and drums in Rock Band!"

Hard choice...

Hahahaha that is so true. "Dude this one game lets me play guitar and bass, but this other one has singing and drums on top of that....

I think Ill go for the first one."

:p Yeah right

I would rather see a different setlist on both games, but I wouldn't be suprised if 'Welcome to the Jungle' was announced for Rock Band as well.

I don't know how it works, but I doubt it's a race to see who secures or pays for a track first to see who can use it. Different agreements are probably made with the respected companies. If both go after the same song and it ends up in both game, great. I doubt there would be much repetition, but I can see it happening in regards to Downloadable content. Picture a song being released for GH3 or RB in DLC and you owned both games. Which one would you buy?

Rock Band, obviously.
Man, Rock You Like a Hurricane is going to be the I Love Rock and Roll of GH3. Bleh. I don't understand why everyone wants to play that song.

Oh, sorry. Thanks for clearing that up. I'm on dial-up at work so I don't normally watch the videos that get linked, I just try to guess what they represent and then talk about them like I know what's going on. It often makes me come off as an idjut, as is the case this time.

Man, if the GHIII folks (activision, et al) were smart they'd really start focusing on guitar heavy songs, since that's going to have to be their niche. Rock Band is always going to have to keep the drums and vocals in mind, so it's really going to be their only way to compete...

Paradise City is pretty much built for Rock band anyways. It has funner lead guitar, rythm, drums and singing, and the end is pretty much built for a huge jam session.

I say that is a way better choice than Welcome to the Jungle.

I hope they'll have Paradise City too. Think they already got it for Burnout.

Well that kinda sucks. But there's plenty of other GnR songs that'd still be cool to play in RB at least. I'll personally hope for You Could Be Mine

As a sidenote, how fail would it be if Neversoft ended up with a cover version of Welcome To The Jungle in GH

If it has more piano than guitar screw it, unless you add a piano peripheral.

I think there is a new CD called Chinese Democracy.

You could just play the piano on the guitar peripheral and pretend it's a keytar... It'd be fun if they turned off strumming for the keyboard parts, but you had to hit the note at the correct time, and hold it for the correct time (no more hammer ons and pull offs). Hmm...

Or you could just put the guitar part to the piano. It's not the best alternative, but I'm pretty sure that's what they do with Freezepop.

QFT. There is no rule that a song in Guitar Hero cannot be in Rockband. Although I would hope they would try and get their own songs so that it is its own unique game, I wouldn't be too surprised if there was a song or two that we have seen before in Guitar Hero that shows up in Rock Band.
