I think it would be great to get a Bangles DLC pack. On the top of my list:
I'll Set You Free
Glitter Years
In Your Room
Some other great choices would be:
A Hazy Shade of Winter
Everything I Wanted
Walking Down Your Street
Something That You Said
If She Knew What She Wants
September Gurls

Where is "Walk Like an Egyptian"?! I see images of Darth Vader, Brita Pitchers, Pandas in Go-Karts and a Tricycle with a Square Wheel.
On a related note, can anyone musically-inclined please tell me if there are literally no drum parts on "Walk Like an Egyptian"? Every video I've seen including live performances has an empty drum pit...

I, too, am surprised by the lack of Bangles love here. But that probably comes from the fact that the BEST Bangles songs for Rock Band are all from their first album, when they were more a straight-up Rock Band and less of a produced Pop Band known for songs like Eternal Flame. That album is definitely full of their much lesser known songs. But that album, which I call the "early Bangles," pretty much perfectly fit the definition of a Rock Band that the game perscribes to.
Pretty much every song on "All Over the Place" would be perfect for the game. In fact, it would make a GREAT full album release for Rock Band. Every song on the album is perfect for the game, save one: "More Than Meets the Eye", which would have to be excluded from an album release given that, well, there are no guitars or drums in it. ^_^
But every other song, if you listen to them, are great. Fun drum tracks, great guitar playing, and even some really fun bass lines. Plus, releasing a full album for the female rockers would be really cool.
Seriously, Harmonix, if somehow you do actually scour all these posts on this forum, I would VERY MUCH recommend the first Bangles Album, "All Over the Place." EVERY song on there (except the last one):
Hero Takes A Fall
Live
James
All About You
Dover Beach
Tell Me
Restless
Going Down To Liverpool
He's Got A Secret
Silent Treatment
...are PERFECT. I would buy the whole album in a heartbeat.
Other songs sung by the Bangles that would really work well for Rock Band that are not on this album:
Hazy Shade of Winter (fun drum track), Angels Don't Fall In Love (again, good drums), Walking Down Your Street (GREAT bass line), Return Post (a good change of pace), Glitter Years (just an awesome song), and Tear Off Your Own Head (a great full band song).

Much love for The Bangles here, too. Bring em on. And every song should come with an overnight delivery of a lifesized saucy poster of Susanna Hoff in her heyday.... ;)

I just watched the movie Less Than Zero again and thought the Bangles version of "Hazy Shade of Winter" at the beginning really fit well into that movie. They did a good job of taking a great Simon and Garfunkel song and updating it for the 80s. It would make a good Rock Band song and if it were to become available for download, I'd definitely get it.

I saw a concert from them a few years back right before they released Doll Revolution. Dude, Susanna Hoffs is STILL in her heyday! The Bangles still look fantastic because they didn't go all drug and smoking and alcohol crazy when they were famous (unlike another girl rock band that was also popular around the same time as the Bangles.....), so they definitely have aged well. Heck, at one point, Hoffs fell to her knees, crawled up to Vicki Peterson who held a chord on the guitar, and Hoffs just started strumming on Vicki's guitar like mad. It was awesome. ^_^

Even though it's a cover....Hazy Shade of Winter would be awesome for the guitar.

I would seriously buy Walk Like an Egyptian. That would be the party song that eclipsed all other party songs.

Although "All Over the Place" is a good album, I feel the best full albums to draw from would be their second album "Different Light" and their latest "Doll Revolution". However, I feel the absolute best would be to get the songs from their original EP, simply called "Bangles". This EP was made before Michael Steele joined and is, in my opinion, the purest music The Bangles have ever produced.
That being said, here are my Bangles picks for RB:
EP
"The Real World"
"I'm in Line"
"Want You"
"Mary Street"
"How is the Air Up There?"
From Albums
"Going Down to Liverpool"
"Angels Don't Fall in Love"
"Walk Like an Egyptian"
"In Your Room"
"Tear Off Your Own Head (It's a Doll Revolution)"
"The Rain Song"
"Ride the Ride"

The Bangles are without a shadow of a doubt THE girl rock band of the 80's and time after time when I check the setlist for Rockband games I lower my head in disapointment at the fact the idiots at Harmonix don't give them the proper respect they deserve. If they we're on RB, that would be a big reason for me to actually get the game. To all the people replying on this thread, all your song ideas would make great RB songs but to me three stand out :
1. If she knew what she wants
2. Hazy shades of winter
3. In your room
P.S. On another note, one feature I'd love to see in the next Rockband game is the ability to play as your favorite legendary band such as The Who, Led Zeppelin, Rush and of course the Bangles ( although for the songs sung mostly by guys, the girls will probably just play the instruments. Susanna Hoffs singing Motorhead would be really creepy. )

I will go ahead and say AGAIN that the Bangles' version of Hazy Shade of Winter is the BEST.
AND Walk Like an Egyptian is PRIME for a party game.

Great to hear so much enthusiasm for The Bangles. I like the suggestions but, if you really want to hear some great Bangles music, you need to check out their EP that was made before their first album. To me, that is the best...

Yay!!! Someone listened to us and made a Bangles DLC!!! Now (at least for me) the bad news.... "Walk Like An Egyptian" is not very fun to play. :(
Now, I can see where this song can (and most likely will) be a great party song. However, for a person just wanting to hear a great song and play along with their plastic guitar, it is kind of disappointing.
I hope they follow up with something like "Going Down To Liverpool." Now that would be an awesome song to play for all instruments!
