Side Projects and/or new bands

I was just thinking about STP and how the band has had several incarnations as new bands and solos:

Stone Temple Pilots
> Talk Show - band without Scott Weiland
> Scott Weiland two solos
> Velvet Revolver - Scott Weiland with Guns and Roses Alum
> Army of Anyone - band without Scott Weiland
Now STP is back together

I find it interesting how many bands this one band either formed or became members of.

So, name a famous band and let me know what other bands members of either joined or formed...
