Need help finding a name for my real band

Hi, I have a newer metal band, and we are having trouble finding a name that fits, I am hoping you guys on here that listen to metal and harder stuff, and all the fine folks at HMX can help me out with this. “why cant you come up with your own name?” you may ask, well I listen to A LOT of music and there for, a lot of my own name ideas are tainted with being too similar to another band’s name, my band mates think I over think it, but after many tries we are all for the most part out of ideas.

Here is some background about us, we are a “Technical, Groovy, Melodic Death Metal” band. Our guitar playing is half technical southern fried speed, half massive riff monster, our bassist refers to his style as “jazz grind”, we use a drum machine (because no one in our area is awesome enough to play our beats) that me and my lead guitarist program, kind of blast beat-heavy tom filled-start-stop. My vocals are wide ranged, anything from deep growl-bellows to midrange screaming to high shrieking shouts, I take pride in keeping my vocals controlled, and in pitch range. Our lyrical, conceptual, and visual aesthetic is nature/mental oriented (we aren’t hippies by the way) about a culmination of all these things…

• A seed in someone that grows into a vine like plant that takes over the mind and body, unless it is released
• A person who is more of a beast than a human, and is fighting the primal urges
• An ancient colossus’ (covered in rust, moss, coral, and lichen) that rise from the ocean and take over the planet
• A being who has been wandering through a forest that is older than death for a long, long time, slowly becoming one of the trees
• Someone sinking into the black abyss, but not drowning
• Someone being deceived by a succubus, but instead of dying of her kiss, he lives and brutally kills her

We were discussing, and we want a 2 part name, preferably not just a word, unless its an original word, not found in an English dictionary. The name should look good in a mildly difficult to decipher traditional Melo-Death logo format

seriously though... if you are looking for something that is not specifically english language sounding... think of the main core concept of what your stuff is all about... and start bablfishing that into other languages... add some creative spelling and word order... there ya go.

For the most part you guys have been extremely helpful, another thing I noticed when reading some of the names was I forgot to mention if there is a major band that comes to mind whos name has the word in it already (“corpse – Cannibal Corpse”, “Destroyer – Pig Destroyer”, “Death - Death”) yeah. and id like to keep religion out of our music, for the most part.

If this helps at all, with the help of this forum, me and my band came to the conclusion we like the idea of “something very old (ancient), possibly huge, made of wood, stone, metal, or stone, emerging from the deepest darkest part of the world, covered in algae, and growth, and letting out an eardrum exploding bellow at the sun releasing a cloud of million year old smoke and blackness into the air”

That is what we decided our music sounds, feels, and looks like. And that’s the exact thing we want anyone listening to our songs to envision. now we just need a name to match...

The original form is Egyptian and all subsequent versions are derived from the original Egyptian pattern. Obelisks became associated with timelessness and memorialization.
