Except for the fact that the RMA process is totally fubar right now and God only knows when our replacements will arrive why would anyone keep their existing/possibly inferior guitar that could break at any time when they could get the 'new' model? Under the circumstances I really think EA should just come clean about the whole mess and yesterday's 'statement' doesn't cut it.

Your thread would be more helpful to include links to these pictures so people can check their equipment themselves and make their own choice.
If you only start topics just to grip, you'll only find them locked.

So they revised the hardware. That's usually considered a good thing.
I'm not sure why they'd make a more specific statement. Anything about why the first design had problems, or why the new designs don't, would be a trade secret.

I wonder if the next revision will be made entirely of low density foam....

No sure I would call it a 'revision' those are totally new designs.

so three different designs should mean 3 different models. anyone know the model numbers for the 'good' ones? Or am I hoping too much for a simple answer as to whether or not I should worry about my guitar being a broken one?

the magnet one is the newest I've seen and apparently its from a replacement guitar, Thats how the bass pedal works is with magnets, so this should hopefully be good in the fact that I don't think the magnets can break :P
