I need help :-(

I have guitar hero world tour for my ps3 that i got for xmas. everything with that works fine. today i bought the original rock band to play for ps3. My guitar hero world tour guitar seemed to be working when i hooked it up to the game. i could use it as a controller but it would not let me join in to play either solo or in the band. the only thing that shows up is my stupid microphone. so i thought that maybe the guitar wasnt compatible between world tour and rock band. so i went out and bought a guitar especially for rock band ps3. and when i hooked it up( yes its connected properly) the same exact problem is happening. like it lets me use it as a controller but it doesnt recognize it to play or to join in the band. this is really irritating. please heLPPP

i got the same problem, and i don't know how to figure it out, even thou i have updates it's still not working for me? do you have any more advice pls?

Rock Band 1 requires the first patch or later (v1.01+) to recognize the Guitar Hero World Tour guitar. I think the last patch for Rock Band 1 was 1.07, so you'll be fine if you've updated on either PS3 or Xbox 360. There is no way to get the GHWT guitar to work with RB1 on the Wii or PS2.
