Is anyone else having problems still hearing people over their mics during online band quickplay? Not during song selection, but the actual song.

It doesn't happen all the time, but when it does, it's really distracting, as the sound coming in lags behind the music, and it's especially annoying when the person on the other end of the mic is a drummer, or an especially loud vocalist.

They may be holding the button on their controller that allows for sound transmission during play.

Well, my understanding is that you shouldn't be able to hear them while you're actually playing, just during song selection.

But they can press a button on their controller to allow for communication in-song. Otherwise, they'd have no way to tell you when they're using overdrive, etc.

That's incorrect. The singer is the only person to have the voice chat disabled while in song and they can hold down the r-trigger to override that. Everyone else can be heard. If someone's being discourteous, then you can always turn town your headset volume or rip off your headset for the duration of the song like I do.

I find it courteous to mute my microphone during a song since I like to have my volume fairly loud, personally.
