I think the game should look at good bands from other countries other than just the US. I'm from Canada and we have great bands like: Protest the Hero, Billy Talent, Rush, Choke, Silverstein, The Fully Down, Sum41, Our Lady Peace, Alexisonfire, High Five Drive and Moneen... and then there are bands from the UK like: DragonForce, The Beatles, Queen, The Darkness, Coldplay, U2... oh ya and Jet from Australia. I don't know of many Asian bands but I'm sure there are several good ones. Has anyone here heard of Protest the hero, Choke, The Fully Down or High Five Drive? Can anyone think of other good Non-American bands that should be in the game?

Zep and Floyd are from the UK, and Wolfmother's from Australia.

Including a few bands you've mentioned, those are my favorite non-American bands.

Canada: The Music
UK: Radiohead, Bloc Party, Pink Floyd, The Smiths, Joy Division, Sex Pistols, Happy Mondays
Australia: Wolfmother

I would love to see all these in the game. Sure I missed some too :)

I want bands from Scandinavia mostly, more specifically, Gothenburg and Oslo. But I really don't think the area the band is from is going to affect the band being in the game, if they make music that will fit well into the game, there's no reason they wouldn't be considered simply because they aren't American. Some of the biggest selling artists in America, aren't from here.

I'm pretty sure most of the popular bands in the US are American and most of the songs in the Guitar hero games were American... How bout some Chinese music? With China's large population, they're sure to have insanely skilled bands.

I agree with The Tea Party, Our Lady Peace, Finger Eleven, The Guess Who, Neil Young and Rush... I don't really listen to any of those other bands that you said were "good representation"

I don't understand how you could dislike Protest the Hero and Billy Talent. Or how you could say that Avril, Sum41, Alexisonfire, Bryan Adams, Silverstein, Three Days Grace and Hinder are not a good representation of Canadian music (those are probably some of the most popular and successful Canadian musicians). Although I don't like Simple Plan or Sam Roberts, I can still respect them as musicians...

and I completely didn't know Gob was Canadian. Wow rock on!!!

Our Lady Peace would be a great challenge for those who will play the bass... Starseed, Clumsy, Superman's dead, Where are you, Naveed, One man army, Angel/Losing/Sleep...

Even some Moist would be great.

I didnt know silverstein was canadian but thats awesome

I WANT CANADIAN BANDS NOW XD

As for the UK bands you mentioned... dragonforce I dont think would work in rock band

The drummers arms would fall off

The guitarist would fail in a few seconds because rock bands guitar note hitting window is too small to play that many notes per second :(

Def Leppard would be great for this game.

Same with AC/DC and Weezer. Queen too.

I love to see non American music pop up in games like these. I love protest the hero, I am not sure if anyone can handle those kind of vocals and the guitar and drum parts would be intense but I would take them on.

As far a good Asian bands there are plenty
Janne Da Arc
Asian Kung-Fu Generation
The Pillows
L~arc en ciel
Hyde
Ellegarden
Maximum the Hormone
Plastic Tree
Glay
Luna Sea
X Japan

Take your pick

lacuna coil would be good; they're from italy.

as far as bands from canada, i think that protest the hero, bedouin soundclash(awesome reggae rock band), finger eleven, thornley and 3 days grace are good choices.

a really good uk band is skindred, which fuses metal, punk and reggae with some rap. they have some crazy vocals though. they're new song on the radio (Rat Race) is a perfect example of that.

Well said. My favorite band is King Crimson and there are a lot of songs that would go great in Rock Band. Whether you like guitar, bass or drums, you'll find some pretty fun challenges there!

Janne Da Arc definitely! Although with so many good songs, it'd be pretty hard to only settle for a few of theirs!
