View Full Version : Myspace is the devil

I can't stand this crap any more... all the friggin drama... and it isn't even from teenagers!!!

My Mom NEVER calls me anymore, she just relies on Myspace to message me... and if I don't message back she keeps messaging me asking why I won't get back to her.

ALSO, my step dad apparently got drunk and sent her a bunch of crap... and then asked me to go in and delete it... SERIOUSLY.

Why must people rely on Myspace now to contact, sure it is easy with friends... but when it is Family then what the heck?

i'm pretty sure signing up for a myspace profile instantly decreases a person's satisfaction with life. :)

Yeah, my mother demands to know why I don't reply to her Myspace messages.

I stopped using Myspace over a year ago, and she still messages me on it.

Pick up a ****ing phone and call me if you want to talk. She's getting as bad as my father with text messages.

Sounds like it's time for Facebook

Or you know what is even worse... when you do talk on the phone with them... then they send you a message saying the EXACT SAME THING you just talked to them about!

Last night she messaged me.... and then left me a comment of the exact same thing... its like "COME ON WOMAN!!!" pick up a phone! She did call tonight... just to tell me what she saw on Myspace... nothing personal anymore... she'll just call me to talk about Myspace.

This...I have no MySpace or Facebook... and I'm completely happy not knowing what that kid I sat next to in 4th grade is doing today.

id rather my mom send me messages online than call me literally 40 times a day just to say 'i was wondering how youre doing today'. at least she got the point that the message will stay waiting for me in my inbox until i choose to open it.

she made a myspace recently, but hasnt been able to figure it out yet. so she sticks to emails.

Good thing my parents barely know how to turn a computer on, let alone sign up for a facebook or myspace account.

FB is much easier to use for friends and non-close family. If I got **** for not responding to a FB message from my mother, I'd have a fit.

I told my parents that they could text me, call me, etc. whenever, but they are never going to get a Myspace.

Lol. My stepmom made one and thought someone hacked it and added themselves.

His name was Tom.....
I thank the lord for Tom scaring my stepmother out of ever using her myspace so her and my father could keep tabs on me.

:D

never used myspace or facebook. people are stupid who post all their personal contact information online and interface with complete strangers. no thanks, i'll pass on that.

Lol, don't we all do the same things here?

Also, you don't HAVE to post all your personal info.

I have both a myspace and facebook, I don't have any personal information listed (except my name on facebook, but I have it set so that no one can search for me), I just use it to talk to friends that go to different universities, or (in the case of myspace) people who have similar tastes in video games :p

I talk to far more strangers here than I do either of those places.

Perhaps I'm just the exception rather than the rule, but I feel there's a bit too much prejudice towards social networking sites here.

Set your Facebook profile to private, so they can only see your picture. Its YOUR choice whether to add contact info (I don't)
