View Full Version : Just spoke with both UPS and EA...

I called UPS first. They told me that they hadn't received my package yet.

This got me pretty pissed. Then I called up EA, all ready to call them on their BS when they tried to pass the buck to UPS. However, they didn't. They guy told me it looked like it was in transport from their warehouse to the UPS depot.

It would explain why UPS hadn't received it yet, and I guess it's feasible story, so I suppose I can't get too upset about it.

So it should out today or tomorrow if all this is true. Fingers crossed.

I've been told this for days now....EA is passing the buck they haven't shipped half of what they claim

I also just got off the phone with them also. I was told they shipped out a bunch of these (guy said 10k, but that seems high to me) and they're slowly trickling out. I'm just hoping to get it by the weekend.

BTW, Mattitude, you in NYC or Long Island, by any chance?

They told me 3 days in a row that my guitar was shipping that day. Guess what? It still hasn't shipped.

I sent my order in on the 24th ea support site said lastnight that my label had been printed hen this morning it said it was shipped then it updated again still shipped so we will see come saturday or monday. ups still saysthey havent hear word, maybe its in transit to the ups place i dunno.

You we're lied to by EA customer support. I am in the exact same situation. Ordered replacement last Tuesday, UPS lists " billing Information Received" all of that. I did exactly what you did, I called UPS. UPS shows that they have not received package yet. Now, UPS does international shipping all year, every year, they do not run into insane backups during holidays. If they did, consumers would goto other shipping businesses. Do not let an EA representative give you this BS line. This is exactly what an EA representative told me, he then told me in the best case I'd receive my package today, but in the worse case, I may not receive it until next Thursday!! Which means he had absolutely no idea what was going on. Thank you for absolutely nothing EA/Harmonix. I now have lost all faith in EA/Harmonix's ability to handle this problem. I mean afterall, I just had EA's customer service rep LIE to me!!

i have been told the same story every day for the past 2 days. i was finally told that it has not shipped.

I spoke today with EA (the manager of the support department)and they manufactured a 3rd generation controller and they are shipping for PS3 on Thursday, Friday and Monday. XBOX guitars were shipped first, on Monday Tuesday and Wednesday. The manufacturing was addressed. Also the EA rep told me that Red Octane was so inundated with complaints for not making the the GH3 controllers in a way to be cross used with RB, that Sony, Harmonix and Red Octane are now finishing a patch that will allow GH3 controllers to be used w/ RB. The patch will be available any day now. It will be installed when you turn on Rock Band. Microsoft had already done this and it was fixed by Friday last week I believe.

As soon as the guy was telling me all of this, it would ship that day, I received a status update saying it was shipped at 9:18 am Today. We were still on the phone and he noticed it at the same time I did.

So if the xbox ones went out by Wednesday, why does my tracking still say billing info received?

That's funny, because I have a 360 and I put my order in last week. Still haven't heard anything from UPS on it being shipped. Did you get that status update from the EA site or UPS?

I filled out my warranty on Nov. 22nd. I didn't want to give them my card info, so I just chose the normal replacement method. The box they are to send me still hasn't been shipped. It's all good for now though, as I'm using my guitar hero 2 controller. However, I'm frustrated because I'm gonna have to send my drums back too because of the issue of non-registered hits. I was gonna wait until I get my guitar but it looks like that might be a while.

I made my request on 11/23/07, yet people that requested it after this already have working parts. This is ret@rded.

That's cool, I wish they would hurry up with mine. I sent my request in the morning of the 23rd and it still has yet to ship. Hopefully by tomorrow.

that's pretty sad they cant even ship an empty box out promptly.

although it's already been established that you cant trust the words spoken by the EA customer service reps, has anyone heard when UPS actually picks up the boxes from EA?

i noticed the time stamp on my ea support page was pretty early...maybe first thing in the morning for them depending on the time zone they operate from. since my ups tracking number still shows nothing more than billing info received.
im thinking either the ea status switched to shipped and they have the box ready to be picked up, or they just changed people's status to shipped to get people off their backs and lighten the phone traffic today :)

after reading this thread, I was about to post the same as most of you, that I RMA'd on the 21st and nothing has been shipped yet (Xbox360 guitar).

I just checked UPS, and it still says Billing Info Received. So I went to EA Support and saw a new message, and that message says "parts shipped"...though UPS says no, we ain't got it yet.

So we'll see how this all works out in the next 24 hours, but I'm kinda burning inside about this whole mess.

Goodluck man. Im still pretty pissed about the whole situation, Ive written letters to EA, asking for compensation, and I probably don't deserve anything. But after spending this much money on a game i cant play, really gets me mad.

I'm not looking for compensation other than for EA/Harmonix to get on the ball and get everyone taken care of so things will smooth out, then we can start complaining about other things (like some of you hate there's no BWT online, some hate teh solo mode, etc).

I'd much rather be complaining about the game than the controllers
