Hi guys,
So I received Rock Band 2 Special Edition for Christmas, and I've totally loved it.
So far I haven't had very many issues, but I do have this one problem where my red drum pad has actually torn off (the rubber part with red outlining that tucks in to the dark silver case.
A week after I had Rock Band 2, I started receiving a bubble in my red pad. This bubble got larger and larger until the other night it made the pad actually come off. I'm pretty sure the pad isn't cracked, and
I'm positive it's not because I was hitting it too hard, since I take care of my stuff very well and keep it safe. I think it's because I've been playing too much expert songs, especially ones by The Who, which thanks to Keith Moon has a lot of snare rolls.
Should I RMA my pads? Or should I find someway to stick them down? I have no idea.
Also, I've tried tucking the pad back in and pressing it real hard so it's nice and flat, but it just comes out again after one very light, short snare drum roll.
Please help.
Thanks!

Mattmcd1,
If your Rock Band 2 was purchased within the last 60 days (I am assuming it might be right on the verge since it was a Christmas purchase) then you can go ahead and RMA that.
Here is a link explaining how the Warranty works:

Ok...
Just one more question:
Which method should I use?
Should I call them or use the online website?

call them as the website does not have an option for pad bubbling or delamination. So that makes it impossible to continue with the support ticket.
If you decide to go ahead and RMA them, just be warned that it could be a very long time before you actually receive your replacement set. I sent my RMA request over a week ago and still have not received the empty box to ship my drums in. And according to the tracking number, they haven't even shipped it yet. So I'm kind of worried as to how long it will take for them to ship the new set once I send mine back.
I believe they are just wasting time to eat up the 60 day warranty so they don't have to warranty the replacement.. Or at least that's my conspiracy theory.
Edit: A little advise.. If you do RMA them, once you receive your new pads; to prevent this from happening again.. Apply the official Rock band skins... Yes it's an additional $15 but if it prevents the bubbles, I think it's worth the cost.

I have the exact same problem! it just happened and i was looking up stuff to see how i could fix it.....i was wondering if maybe i should get some of the silencer pads or whatever they're called from wal-mart....

Silencer pads might prevent bubbling, but it won't remove your bubble...I placed silencers on my 3 unbubbled pads, but i wait til i remove the bubble on my red pad before putting the red silencer...the silencer will probably bubble too if you stick it on an existing bubble.
