Rock Band Font

Does anyone have the game open and can tell me what the name of the official Rock band Font is? I think it is the first type choice in the Art Maker.

Or if anyone knows where I can download it, that would be ideal.

I expected the font to be in the fan site kit, but it is not. I need the font to make some signs to hang around the pad.

i doubt you will finf it anywhere.... why don't you just trace it in Illustrator?

I'm pretty sure that's an inhouse custom job, but give it some time and someone will recreate it and post it on www.dafont.com.

at first I thought it was, but in the Art Maker i feel like it had a name. and it wasnt a generic one either. I remember when i saw it in there, i thought to myself "oh there is a name to it, maybe i can find it online"

ok i did a search for you:

TYPEFACES USED:

"Avante Garde", "ITC Serif Gothic", and "Kabel"
(all of those are registered and own be their respective creators)

EDIT: Im pretty sure they used Kabel Book and did a few mods to it

Really? This sounds like a fruitless endeavor. I'll watch them when I get home (i heard there were some hotties in there anyway) but i am not having high expectations.

What about the instrument logos? Anyone seen them? I dont want to have to use a cropped down screen grab.

I spent a lot of time trying to figure this out. I believe it's ITC Avant Garde Gothic Book Alt, or some other Alt (there's a million ITC Avant Garde fonts).

The Alt part is the key; that's the one that makes the A lean to the right. However, this will give you the basic shapes like in the game and on the web site, but not the logo itself, which I believe is a custom HMX job based on that font.

They are just shapes created in Illustrator...:p but i can create any words that I want.... btw I did the logo with it!

I just studied the shapes of the "ROCK BAND" and created the rest

you are right, it is a custom job based on the Avant Garde fot family, there not such "font" out there in reality...

Well.....sort of....I'm using the "Dienasty' font, typically used for KISS stuff. I downloaded it form a website quite awhile ago, but forget the actual address. Just do a "Dienasty font" search. I'll do the same and, if I find it first, I'll post it. Hope that helps out.
