Watchin cnn atm and they are talking about a picture of michael phelps hitting a bong. To me this is a great thing, and here is my reasoning. He was drug tested during competition and tested clean, so they can't take his medals, he will probably lose some endorsements, but to me it shows that people have a huge misconception of weed. I don't know about phelps habits, but assuming he is a user, it proves he has self control to the point he can put it down and focus on training, then after he goes home with his medals he can kick back and relax. This is probably an inappropriate topic, but it's cool imo. In this age of camera phones no one has the right of privacy it seems, but it's just my opinion that whatever this guy does while he isn't competing is completely his business.

druggie, no, actually I'm kinda anti-drug use. Weed imo isn't as dangerous as over half of doctor perscribed medications, not to mention non-perscription stuff that can be sold to anyone. If you don't use weed keep it that way, but I am highly for the decriminalization. My gf is currently serving a 3 year sentence b/c of one failed dt on her probation, and imo that is way too much of a sentence for smoking a joint, especially when drugs like crack/coke/meth/pills/heroin are all out of your system within a week. DT's are obviously targeted toward pot users. K I'm getting a little too political here, but valid points nontheless.

I don't know either, but I think it has something also to do with the fact that it can be used to relieve pain also, irregardless of legality... ibuprofen (Advil) is a banned substance at the Olympics as well, believe it or not.

That being said, I think Phelps' competitors are just hoping he did compete stoned... maybe it would give them half a chance.

There are pills you can take that will flush your system out and have you pissing like a race horse, you'll get any weed out of your body supposedly in like two days.

Also, I hear drinking vinegar will help. My brother-in-law told me that when he played football in high school, other kids on his team would smoke weed. They'd drink vinegar later on and would be able to pass drug tests.

There are a ton of drug people at work and they all passed a drug test we recently had to take.
