Hi, I owned all the original instruments from Rock Band 1 and then my roommates and I finally destroyed the foot pedal for good on the drums. So about 3 or 4 weeks ago, I bought the new Rock Band 2 drum set. It worked just fine until this morning. When I turned on my XBOX 360, it downloaded un update for the game (Rock Band 2).
After the download finished, my roommate and I tried to play a set and now the bass pedal doesn't work. Now the yellow pad plays both the yellow note and the bass pedal at the same time. I have the cymbal attachments and the one that is hooked to the yellow port does the exact same thing. It plays a cymbal sound and the bass pedal. When you press the bass pedal down now and hit the yellow pad, the yellow pad will play but no bass sound will be played.
It's a pretty weird situation, but I'm not sure how this happened. It's just strange that this occurred after the update was downloaded and installed. Am I the only one who has this problem and if so, what can I do to get a new drum set? I just spent $120.00 to get this set and the cymbal additions less than a month ago and now it's already messed up.
Thanks for any help!

I just came her to look into this myself.
Ps3 here, hitting the bass pedal makes the red pad activate at the same time, and using the control pad activates the ps home button.

I had the same problem a month after I got the RB2 set after busting the RB1 bass pedal. What I did to fix it is take the new heads and pedal off the RB2 set and installed them on the RB1 set. The new heads are heavier and softer so I went under the heads and loosened the sencers a full two screw turns and now the drums work awesome..I also like the way it is NOT wireless. I hated it when my betteries went dead in the middle of a long set...Again.. Awesome... haha Lets see for how long
it works for... Thanks
