Problems with song

I recently beat the medium tour on drums, So i figured i could start on hard. I can beat or do good on most songs, even some of the harder ones, but then i get to reptilia by the strokes. Its like the third tier or something and i'm thinking this will be easy i mean this song is like what two minutes? So I'm doing great up until the chorus.... it has this repeating beat of bass, then blue and red at the same time, for about 15 seconds or so. It sounds easy, but for some reason i just can't do it... i've practiced it numerous times, but i just fail every time =/ they do the same thing for songs like wave of mutilation and here it goes again, but i managed to barely pass my way through those, but this is is just killer... am i retarted or something? i just don't get it. Anyone else having this problem? :confused:

This is a hold over from the Guitar Hero days. The issues is that, in reality, not only should the tiers be different for each instrument, but also for each difficulty.

I have that exact same problem. I've done higher tier songs, but my two RB fails have been Here It Goes Again and Reptilia on drums/hard.

I saved my OD for those parts to pass.

Grats to you for getting that far. I've beaten drums on medium and 5-starred almost everything, so I went onto Hard. Definitely need more practice though.

That's the one thing about Rock Band drums, in order to get good, you essentially have to learn to play drums for real. At least with guitar you're just getting better at strumming 5 buttons, you need to learn the actual instrument with drums.

I'm not complaining per se, but it is difficult, and the only cure for your problems is practice.

heh... well its good someone has the same problem, but like i had full overdrive, but they don't give you a fill close enough to that part to make it last... so i end up failing =/

Just save your overdrive, or continue practicing.
What I did to get through it was just hit the notes, and not the bass.
If you have a high enough meter going in to it, you should be fine, you just have to be able to play after that part pretty well to make sure you don't fail out a few seconds later.

The game actually tells you in one of the little prompts that it emphasizes the bass pedal and snare (red pad). If you get those two right, you won't lose as much audience favor for missing the others.

Another thing to remember. This game gives more rock meter movement for the red and the bass. So, I concentrated on hitting the bass every time and the red when I felt I could get it in without screwing up my rhythm.

I had this problem on GH2 - Woman by Wolfmother kicked my ass on tier 1 Expert for the longest time, while I had no trouble with tiers 2 & 3...
