Don't hold your breath for that new AC/DC album. According to an interview with Glam-Metal.com, bassist Cliff Williams said that "nothing is set in concrete at all" for the Australian group's first set of new material since 2000's Stiff Upper Lip.

Despite rumors that the band has begun recording, Williams said, "I hear these rumors too, but when (guitarists) Angus and Malcolm (Young) are ready and they've got all the stuff together, they will call us and we'll get together and get it done. We never plan ahead for that, except when the guys are happy with what they have, that's when it rolls. And that can happen anytime."

The Young brothers have reportedly been writing songs for the new album since at least early 2006, although information has been scarce.

Williams and AC/DC vocalist Brian Johnson recently recorded some songs for a benefit organization called Classic Rock Cares. A tour is also in the works, with proceeds going to a foundation named after late Who bassist John Entwistle which will provide free music education and instruments to underprivileged children through the public library system.

Oh well... I think it was quite a long shot anyway. Hopefully some AC/DC still makes it into the game, that'd be cool. Australia represent!! lol

Well if their goal is to get underprivileged kids involved in music education and get instruments in their hands, then I think RB is the perfect thing for them to get involved with.

So I don't think it's too far fetched at all.
