View Full Version : Will EA/HMX please make a statement about the drums?

I, like many others, have a drum set with the problem where it can become unresponsive, especially during fast rolls on the red pad, but not only limited to that situation. This isn't caused by banging on the pads really hard or anything. Could someone from EA or HMX please at least let us know whether or not this issue is being investigated at all? It would be nice to hear if there is an identified issue or not. Or if anyone is even looking into this.

I want to get a replacement set, but I'm hesitant to go through the warranty process without any knowledge that a new set will resolve my problems.

Thanks, guys. I know you're working hard on these nagging issues.

I've got a problem with the drum fills too. The snare fill to start the chorus on In Bloom (expert) never works no matter how many times I've tried on full speed. Went into practice mode and it seems to handle just fine at slower speeds, yet the second you start drumming at the regular speed the pad seems to have trouble registering all the hits. I tried putting my leg underneath the red pad as a support and it had an easier time registering the notes hit. Perhaps this has arisen as a result of a not-so-sturdy drum kit?

when you play expert, that is when problems show up. just like with the guitar, with close notes, it will skip. on med and lower difficulties, you most likely wont notice anything wrong. but try expert or even hard, and you will notice close notes, not registering. I know its not a high tech drum electronic drum machine, but they shouldnt skip notes. when people move up to expert you will see more people complaining about the drum set. look on youtube for a video on "rock band drums" if you want to see the problem.

Yeah I just moved on to expert yesterday. My red and yellow pads seem to work perfect at any speed. My blue is just ok, but my green stops responding entirely when I start going fast on it. Luckily it seems that most close notes are on the other 3 pads.

Oh and after playing Maps on Expert, my foot pedal finally cracked.

I find it hard to believe none of the testers had these problems.

I have the same problem. I didn't notice til I was messing around before a song started. It does it on all the pads. Slow roll no problem, as I speed the roll up, it triggers less and less notes.

I too would like a statement cause I don't want to RMA them just to get another set that does the same thing.

The people at Gamespot actually broke their foot pedal too.

I just hope my drumset will work, since I've imported it and can't order a replacement if something is wrong.
