i need help finding an inexpensive foot pedal or how to mod one myself

well, it is actually a guitar hero world tour drum set, but i am playing rock band 2 on it, the problem is the foot pedal registers extra hits and despite my attempts to fix it like adding cardboard, usb midi etc, it does not operate properly, i wanna know where i can find a foot pedal mod that is not expensive cause $75 is not worth paying for an accessory to a fake instrument. i just saw a nyko foot petal on amazon, is it any good? i need to know cause come on, the main attraction of rock band is the drums. the nyko foot petal is $19.99 which i am willing to pay but i need to know if its any good first, cause you know back when i had the first rock band the metal petal was in-effective, cracks still formed underneath the screws.

If you are using a GHWT drum set, you can't use pedals designed for RB drums.

some foot pedals like nykos is good for both games. but i cant find enough good reviews to trust the nyko foot pedal.

I looked into the Nyko pedal, but I couldn't find any credible reviews that state that it actually works well for both games. I also saw nothing concerning its durability.
