OMG! The Post Office lost my Rock Band!

So, I ordered a copy from Amazon.ca of the stand alone game, even after buying a stand alone copy from ebay (because I have still not received that one and don't expect it for another week or so). I check my order today online and lo and behold, it says it has been delivered. WOW, I rush home and check my mail box, and there is the KEY! The key to the big parcel box. I am all pumped up now! Ready to play Rock Band for the first time. I open the parcel box, and NOTHING! Where is my Rock Band! What is going on?

So, after calling Amazon, and the post office, I am stuck waiting until next Monday at the earliest for another copy to arrive, unless the first copy magically appears between now and then, which somehow I doubt.

UPDATE:!!! The Postman found my Rockband! Due to a little carelessness on his part, my parcel was put into another parcel box after he had placed the key to the first parcel box in my mailbox. But after talking to him today, my package has been located, I am now rocking out with Rockband (minus the drums for now) and LOVING EVERY SECOND OF IT!

Yeah, I figure there is a postman somewhere nearby tonight wailing away on my copy of Rock Band. Well, at least he will get a nice wake up when he heads to work tomorrow morning and finds out a complaint has already been filed.

Time to complain to HMX about how its there fault and they better have an answer to your issue or you are going to file a class action suit. Don't forget to ***** about the fact that the LP doesn't work. Oh and the drums are too hard. :rolleyes:

Yes, of course it is HMX fault the post office lost/nipped my copy of Rock Band and I will be going to check in with my lawyer first thing in the morning to file my $100,000,000 class action claim against them for their negligence in ensuring that all third party parcels are delivered to the legitimate recipient.

C'mon, can't someone post a somewhat lighthearted but still depressing account of their attempts to secure of copy of this game without the flamers jumping down their throats?

If so, my bad, I apologize. But as you can see, even though I am trying to stay lighthearted about this, as it really isn't the end of the world, I am frustrated. Not at HMX, just really want a copy of this game that I have been looking forward to for a long time, and now this (That damn postie better be enjoying himself, if I find out he just left it in the truck or something I might just spit nails).

Honestly, this is the first time in my life that a parcel has gone missing and it has to be one of the ones I was looking forward to the most! Murphy's law at it's finest.

i should add that if any of you orders from bestbuy.com, my friend received his in the original box, unwrapped. so they basically just stick the shipping label on the retail box. i forgot which shipping company they used, but the delivery guy just left it outside of their garage in plain sight for anyone to grab. im suprised no one jacked it.
