Hello.

I'm from Spain. Last month I bought a Rock Band2 wireless drum kit for my XBOX 360 via an ebay shop because RB2 isn't availible here in Europe. The drum is knew, not second hand

When I tried to sync the drum with the console, it didin't. I've read all the posts regarding this issue. I've tried everything and everyone solutions given in this forum with the same result: failure to sync. The thing is that when I press the sync button in the drum, its lights continue blinking, but it never spin, so the console doesn't find it.

I was thinking of a RMA, but I live in Spain and I don't know if it's possible. Plese, tell me if I could send the drum there altough I'm not in the US.

On the other hand, my ebay seller (all-sportsmemorabilia4u) is turning a blind eye on me. He told in a first message that he deals directly with the manufacturer, but from that message until now, he avoids to assume the replacement and answers me saying: 'put the batteries in' or 'press the sync buttun'. And of course, I tried that and many other things I've read the first two days of having the drum.

Sorry for my english amd thank you very much

Have you got surround sound linked up?

That is likely your problem. My friend has a sound system and Rock band 2 and it's impossible to sync the game up. He just plays out of sync and has gotten somewhat used to it.

EDIT: I misread...Have you pressed the white button next to the memory card slot when your syncing the kit?

Thanks for the answer, but I don't have any surround system at home.

And when you say 'white button', do you mean the sync button of the console? If you reffer to that button, I have tried pressing it and keeping it pressed while I try to sync the kit. Nothing happens. The lights of the drum blink but don't spin.

What I'd like to know is if I could have a RMA living in Spain.

What about the sync button on the drums? It's on the bottom edge, between the battery compartment and the button panel. You have to press both sync buttons (the console and the drums) to get the instruments to sync.

Just to expand dovanon reply, make sure you keep the sync buttons held in for at least a good 2-3 Seconds until there both rotating. Because i had trouble with my wireless kit as well and i just to keep trying until it finally sync'd. Just keep trying and if it doesn't work then well keep contacting the person who sold it to (all-sportsmemorabilia4u) If you keep at it I'm pretty sure you'll get through eventually.

Thanks for thje reply.

Just to expand my previous reply, I've tried every possible combination:
- Press one (xbox sync button) and then the other (drum sync button)
- Press the other and then the fisrt one.
- Press both buttons at the same time
- Keep both pressed at the same time for several seconds.
- Press one and keep pressed the other one for several seconds and the other way back.
- Place the drum far and close to the console.

I haven't tried voodoo nor black magic, but I'm seriously thinking about it.

Really, it has been almost a month of trying. The drum's light never circle and never turn off unless I put the batteries off. And, of course, batteries are new and in the console.

So the only reason why it doesn't sync is because is faulty. It's not the first one. I've read similar cases in this forum. They got a replacement, but they live in the USA and I don't. That's why I question if I could get a replacement.

And regarding to the seller, my patience is starting to run out with a guy who constantly turns a blind eye on me and doesn't offer any solution.

Well i can't really think of anything, but now because of the hassle the wireless drums gave me i went back to wired because it's just so much easier. but you could give black magic a go and see what the end result is. Or if you really want to fix it, take apart the whole drums and try and sort it out yourself (not the wisest if you don't know what your doing) but i mean, you could try and contact EA and say you did not buy it from eBay but most likely they may say no. So yeah not much more i can say to help really.

Sorry, hope you sort it out though.

First of all, thanks for your reply.
Is there any way to make the drum wires so it can connect?
Take apart the drums? and then what I do? what could I do?

I've read that some other people experienced this issue:

http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?t=108724&highlight=drum+sync

Why couldn't I have a replacement?

I'm starting to hate that seller

The drums communicate wirelessly. I developed an AC adapter mod to power them via wire, but they still communicate wirelessly.

To get a warranty replacement, you need to have purchased them through an authorized seller. No eBay sellers are authorized (except for eBay extensions of major stores like buy.com, etc.). If you were able to get the original receipt for the eBay seller, you might have more luck in getting help from EA.

Thanks for replying dovannon.
The seller didn't send me any receipt. I only have the UPS documentation: his addres, my addres, the content (1 xbox drum set), and the shippment costs. I suppouse EA won't accept that.

Maybe the seller isn't able to get a replacement either. Maybe that's the reason why he avoids me. Maybe he wants that days pass by until 60. I think I am screwed.

Dumb of me for buying electronical devices via ebay
Thanks EA for treating Europe this way: we have the Rock Band 2 game here, but we do not have the instruments
