so, there goes a man by the name of "jason12283" whom i was playing guitar tug of war against. the song was Sabotage and the arrow was all the way over at my name on my side. naturally, he quits and i have to find another match.

the next song: foreplay/long time, my opponent: jason12283. he plays 2 notes and i get the "the player has left" message once again

next song: train kept a 'rollin. of course, jason's back! he leaves 1 second into the song.

although im laughing my ass off, i wait a little bit before i start again so i get a new opponent. but it looks like jason had the same idea. this time it's dani california. i was impressed! we almost got to the chorus! but he leaves once i get the arrow halfway on my side.

he sends me a message like any proud loser saying "f@g" and i simply reply with my incredible sportsmanship "lol n00b"

edit: honestly, it should record a win for you if the other guy leaves. it took me an hour to get my tug of war streak achievement because people kept leaving.

I can proudly say I am not one of those guys, why only yesterday I was playing against this guy who just ripped me a new one through two whole songs on expert (guitar) but I didn't backed down, in the end he was the one who left, I guess he figured I was no match for him or maybe he was so intimidated by my awsome bravery that he just couldn't play anymore!!!:D most likely the first :p

There's nothing wrong with loosing, if it's with dignity.

Someone said earlier today you still get the win, you just don't get the notification for it.
Maybe that is just for score duel, or maybe that is wrong. I don't really know.

THat was me. In an older thread I posted, complaining about the same thing, a Harmonix rep said that even though they don't show you, you do indeed get credit for the win.

I still haven't been able to validate that though as I don't remember my score increasing after someone quit (and I've had it happen at least 20-30 times).

I would believe it, becuase my rank did go up when I was playing today. However, I did win several other matches. I have yet to see a real pattern to your rank going on. Im sure the rank of your opponant, and how many games you have one against other ranks all have a factor in it.

I'd definitely like to see the equation. I think my "TrueSkill" or whatever is a 34. I have no idea what that means, or what it takes to move up besides "Play more." Would love to know how it computes.

I think the biggest effect is when you play someone that is a lot higher or lower.
I know I ranked up really quick by beating higher people, just becuase I hadn't played yet. And when I lose to higher people, my rank never goes down. But if I lose to lower people, it almost always drops. I usually have to win a 4-5 times against someone close to me to go up.

it must be just score duel then, because i was trying to get the streak(5 straight wins) tug of war achievement. i had 3 straight wins before this happened, and didn't get the achievement until 2 wins after it happened.

I think only your "Truskill" score goes up, meaning you still get the win but as far as a winning streak, I don't think that happens.

I hate when people quit. I really haven't played these features a lot. The first day I had 9 wins in a row. Then people started quiting. When I finally found someone he or she killed me. I played through twice in a row and got killed. I really like it. I think that makes you a better player. Normally my friends aren't good enough to push me. So I don't get better.

yeh...when i play GH3 online...they just quit..there should be an rule that if you start an match and quit halfway through..points are taken off your gamerscore...u only are allowed to quit 1 MATCH ALL THE WAY THROUGH UR CAREER....if u started it, you can finish it

Gamerscore would be a little drastic, maybe if you couldn't play for half an hour after you quit a match...

that would be good too....but if u quit ALOT of times on matches...then gamerscore deductions could come into place
