Mr. Roboto, Rock Me Amadeus, and Only In My Dreams do NOT deserve to be on that list. Ever.
And yeah, Back in Black was a MUCH bigger hit for AC/DC than You Shook Me All Night Long....if they're only picking one AC/DC, I'd go with Back in Black.

I find the lack of Punk disturbing.
Also, a lot of great post-Punk is missing.

A few are good, but it's a massively imbalanced list.

You don't like of Just Can't Get Enough, Wild Thing, Word Up, Sweet Dreams, She Blinded Me With Science, One Thing Leads To Another, or Cruel Summer? :(
Actually, on second thought, all of those bands (heavy emphasis on Depeche Mode, Bananarama, The Fixx, and The Eurythmics) had much better songs than the ones listed. How VH1 choose Just Can't Get Enough over songs like See You or People are People is kind of mind-boggling, even if they were just shooting for the "hits".

Much as I disagree with lists, I adore them. I spend my free time between classes sitting in the Union watching these sorts of countdowns.

NOTHING! Jim Steinman was the best song writer of the 80's... Well, maybe it was Prince... Anyway, Jim Steinman was one of the best.

I hate the 80's.
I used to think that myself, but then I remembered that Sonic Youth, the Gits, Springsteen and many more produced wonderful albums therein.

Meh, most of the picks are crap, the rest either should be better songs or are in the wrong spot.

This is a good list of the most popular songs of the 80's, but far from the best.
