Get home from work ready to play some score duel on the drums. Well everything is going great then all of the sudden my friggin foot pedal snaps at the base. Which is fixable with some super glue, but still lame. Well my strummer on the guitar does not up strum correctly either. So i call EA to get my replacements.

Well i get paired up with some woman from India. Can hardly understand half the stuff she says. So i have to ask her to repeat herself like 50 times. Almost to the point where i was about to ask her to just spell out each letter and i will write it down on paper like morse code or something. After about 20 grueling minutes on the phone.. She says we will call you tomorrow about getting the replacements. I say to myself WTF!! I told her why cant we just resolve this right now? I have a credit card and all that so whats the big problem?

They tried to trouble shoot which was really pissing me off. I told them i did all that and nothing is helping. I said just send me my replacements and when you get mine and test them you will know they are indeed defective. So now i have to wait until i get home from work tomorrow and expect a call. This is a crock of BS if you ask me.

Sorry for sounding like a *****, but i just want to play the best game ever made lol. Oh well its not the end of the world. Hopefully it does not take too long for the replacements to get here. Anyone know if you can pay them to overnight? Hopefully they will understand when they get a foot pedal with hypoxie all over it lol.

I'd love to know the type of troubleshooting questions you were asked when you told them your bass pedal snapped in half.

To avoid the "what the hell did you say?" of outsourced support, you can go to the Web site: support.ea.com/rockband (http://support.ea.com/cgi-bin/ea.cfg/php/enduser/rockband.php)

Is it plugged in.. That really started to get me angry. Basic common sense, and when i told them in a pretty rude way "THE DAM THING SNAPPED OFF AT THE BASE SO IT IS NOT WORKING". End of drum pedal trouble shooting lol. Dont get me started on the strummer stuff..

it worked a lot faster for me with my PS woes. i emailed them about it, but when i called, he setup my box for shipping over the phone, whereas the email i got nearly 2 days later said to expect a phone call or something.

Luckily I got someone from the States the first time I called to request a replacement. She asked if I would like to troubleshoot. I told her no and explained my problem. She took care of me right away. I placed the order Saturday and I got my new drums yesterday. The only time I got someone from India or wherever was when I called back Monday to verify the address they had for me. It was like pulling teeth. She put me on hold like 4 or 5 different times for very basic things. It seemed like every time I asked her a question or she had to look up something she was like, "Ok, I'm going to put you on hold just a minute" When I called yesterday to ask some questions about what I had to send back I luckily got someone from here again. So I guess I lucked out. Both times I needed someone who knew English I got them. I feel for you guys getting the outsource people. I think from now on, I'll just say "Oops wrong number, I must have the wrong country" and hang up. I will try again until I get someone I can understand.

This is becoming a growing problem with many companies. I think most companies like using these people because it's like talking to a brick wall. They are hardheaded about most things and argue over nothing. They don't bend on anything. Companies lose out when people from here work the phones and end up showing the customer some mercy. Most people from here will be understanding and end up giving the customer some kind of discount or removing a charge etc. Outsource people have no idea what we are going through or talking about. I hear no emotion talking to them. I'd rather deal with an automated system.

Well, Jesus may not be very happy with you but according to the Gospel according to the Doobie Brothers, I hope that he's still alright!

Speaking of Doobie Brothers, any hope in DLC?...they to were the full fledged jam band(early years more so.)

Ya no matter what problems you have for any product it seems "The American Way" these days is to talk to someone who is named "John", but in reality their real name is "Habib". You are right about them not breaking though, and i agree they most likely talk to a real american or look at a book for their answers. I have not to this day have been able to convince AOL to drop my services. Everytime i try to cancel they give me more free dial up and services. Been an on going situation for over 2 years now lmao.

well, as you must be able to figure out, your call is being routed to India, most likely. EA is good for that. I will stick up for North American call centers as most of them are located in the region where I live, and provide good jobs to those people that work there. Best thing is they speak English very well.

Not much you can do about it though. That is who EA choses to deal with so your only real option is to complain directly to EA (good luck doing that, not many avenues there) or boycotting EA products, not much hope there also, as they own most of the top titles.

I am pulling for you, good luck with your issues

I am not against people from over seas taking these calls. Its good for their economy too since it does give them jobs. I just found it frustrating the first guy i talked to was an american. Then after i told him my situation he tells me he has to transfer me to the warranty department. Low and behold i get good ol "Betsy" to handle the rest of the phone call. I am usually very patient talking to them, but you have to understand i was in a foul mood before i called. So the fact i have to take a bottle of motrin and wash it down with a beer to stay calm was not helping either. Well i didnt take it that far, but you guys get the idea. I know its only a game, but call me being overly nerdy i just want to play my game that i spent $170 for.

Thats interesting since I ordered my new drums on wednesday before thanksgiving and they haven't shipped yet....and you ordered yours AFTER mine. Thats just crazy. Im not worried about it since I got my drums to work, but still..itd be nice to have that $100 free to use.

I placed the order Saturday and I got my new drums yesterday.

Yeah, apparently all orders placed before the weekend were put together in a warehouse. Starting Saturday, orders were sent as they were placed. So people who ordered first got screwed. They stated that all the orders place last week should arrive by the end of this week though.

I am starting to realize the thing that really drew me to this game is the drums. Been playing the last few hours on guitar, and i am starting to get bored... After 3 years of guitar hero i suppose i should have anticipated this. I have friends over, but we can not do our 4 man WBT because of the lack of a drummer. Sucks to be me right now. WTF happened on the hardware on this game? Did people not test these toys before they shipped these games out? My answer is more then likely not.

I am not referring to the mexican that made your vehicle pimped out. I am talking about the son of GOD.

They are suppose to call me at 6:30 about my replacement. Hopefully I get an american to handle my case. I am going to ask them about overnight shipping too. I will let everyone know what they say about that. Wish me luck!!!
