I think country would be a great addition to the game. By the way, If you do not like someones taste, what in the world gives you the right to disrespect them?

Come on guys, calm down. Some country wouldn't be bad if it were some great guitar players like Brad Paisley and Keith Urban. But I am not much of a country fan either.

Everyone has their own tastes and i'm sure those bashing this topic listen to music i'd find hideous personally, but to each their own.
Personally I'd love to see some country DLC. I wouldn't have wanted it on the game but as DLC no one is forced to buy it. I'd like to see a David Allen Coe pack for sure as well as some others such as Devil Went Down to Georgia. Some newer stuff wouldn't be bad either.

I posted this in another thread but it seams appropriate here:
R & B Band
- Session musicians would play for you while a lyricist writes your lyrics and then when you are done laying down your vocal track a producer will come into your virtual studio and make you sound like you can sing. No accessories needed for people with no talent.
Rap Band
- You would scour the virtual rock world so your could steal a line or two of some other artists music which you would then use as the main part of your song. You would have to add some lyrics referring to b****** and h*s and cappn some mofo. Accessories would include a virtual turntable, glock and 40 of old english 800.
Country Band
- You have to come up with the simplest lyrics possible, usually about gettin drunk in a bar and losing your wife to your brother. Add crappy music and you win. Accessories include a large belt buckle, 10 gallon hat, Banjo controller, Moon Shine still controller and picture of wife/sister.

Mad Catz has also just announce they will make a peripheral to go with Country Band that will suck any sense of humor you have out of your brain. The same peripheral will also give you the urge to go to church 3 times a week and want to buy a pickup truck with a gun rack pre installed.

Stereotyping is wrong.

I'm not a big fan of country. However it would be cool to play some of the older country. Like Garth Brooks and Brooks and Dunn. How bad could it be... sure as hell beats rap!!!

Stereotyping is wrong.I agree. My sister listens to country music but not all the time. I'm more into R&B, Rap, and a little Rock so when I'm at her house and she's got country playing, me and my nephew are playing Rock Band in his room with the volume turned up so we can't hear the radio playing downstairs. I'm not dogging country because every once in a while I'll listen to country. I just bought a Gretchen Wilson CD yesterday but haven't listen to it yet.
I wouldn't mind seeing a few country songs for DLC.

im a country music fan yet at the same time im not sure if this game was set up for that genre. ok so country music does have the 4 parts that rock band shocases but the guys at harmonix must choose their songs wisely. most songs are pretty kick back and relax but there are a select few that I could see the majority of RB owners enjoying. Thats the problem, A SELECT FEW! enough to fill a whole game? doubtful. but i do agree with the idea of DLC. A few songs cant hurt. Who knows. maybe a whole NEW fan base will open up which can spell dollar signs for whoever strikes first. RedOcT. or Harmonix.

id much rather play a full fall out boy DLC pack than have a song about my ex-wife and the moon with a ****ty banjo in the background.

Yes Revolver, we get it, you don't like country music. You have made it abundantly clear that at some in your life a cowboy beat you up, or stole your bike, lunch money, or girlfriend. We get that you are a closed minded git. Get over yourself...you're not that cool.
Ok..sorry to interrupt. I'd like some country DLC too, but I'm not holding my breath. :)

I don't think the theme of the game lends itself to country music. Maybe in RB2 if they added a country wardrobe to allow the big hats and belt buckles and had local barn in place of the small clubs you start off in now. It would just seem weird seeing some lead singer dressing in full metal garb belting out a Garth Brooks song. Hell, instead of RB2 come out with Country Band.
Btw, I can't stand country music. But to each their own.

Im in love with MaxMelanie's humor
but yea stereotyping is very wrong
but oh so funny
but back to the topic, yea some country songs wont hurt anyone
As, DLC if u want it buy it if not then dont. I could see myself jammin some Keith urban's "stupid boy". Wat the hey. They might as well experiment with some genres with all the money they are making. Its a "why not" situation
