RB 2 PS3 How do I make a guitar lefty and can you play without vocals?

I was told I can make the guitar for a lefty orientation. How do I do this. I know about moving the strap, but what do I do to reverse the patterns on screen? Would appreciate a step by step.

Also can you play without vocals? It seems to insist on "plugging in the microphone". My son and I want have some guitar duals. Help appreciated.

1. go into options -> game options to select lefty flip. NOTE during the main menu the guitar acts "righty" you can also change to lefty flip by pausing in the middle of a song

2. if you have 2 guitars check the compatability
