I've been watching since the premier of season one. Best television by far, even if the plots are a little formulaic and similar.

(Medical crisis in the intro, followed by a mysterious deterioration of the patient over the next 45 minutes, followed by a brilliant last-minute diagnosis out of left field. Interchange the disease and symptoms and I just described a majority of the episodes.)

You left out the "member of the team seeing a parallel in the patient and their own life" part in almost every episode. I've seen every episode (including this season's) at least 5 or 6 times.

Also, it's never lupus. But yeah, House owns.

The show has gone off the tracks with the change of characters from last season, but House himself is such a great and entertaining character that I keep watching and enjoying it.

Dave Mustaine and Dr. House, that would make an awesome conversation

My father likes it, and I quote, "because he says everything that I wish I could say". My father works in the local Emergency Room.

I like it because it reminds me of my father.

Once. It was Lupus once.

Once. It was Lupus once.

And House made a big deal out of that fact, "I finally got a case of Lupus!" He also hid some of his stash in a Lupus text book.

That was pretty great. That's the kinda stuff that makes the show last. The episodes are rather formulaic, which can become rather tiresome, but the characters are all just so interesting, and House is such a hilarious douchebag, that it still hasn't gotten old. Also, I'd probably tune in every week just to look at Olivia Wilde's eyes, but that's another story entirely...
