A created character for each instrument?

Am I missing something? I've been playing since release day and I'm getting really upset that I have to create a character for each instrument..... I want to just have one character that plays through all the instruments collecting clothing and stuff. Is this even possible or do I have to start all over for drums? If that is the case it is ridiculous and completely redundant.......

Yeah, you have to do this. I've created a separate "me" for guitar, drums, and vocals.

It's pretty obnoxious.

You have to have a character for each instrument (except Bass which is the same as Guitar). I was a bit bothered at the start too, but now it isn't so bad. Also if you have people that will be playing with you, make a profile for them, as it gets even worse when you have a few differen't people playing and you loose track of which profile their character is under, or its being used by someone else blah blah blah. Once you do that, your set.

Great positive answer. Yeah, it sucks for those that want the same avatar no matter which instrument you're on, but it's the perfect opportunity to design some alts. Then when you have friends over, they can just pick whatever goofy character you've made. I'm assembling a cast of real musicians to choose from.

I found it extremely annoying/confusing that we could all use my profile for band quick play, but we all had to have seperate xbox profiles to play on world tour.

I don't think that's how it works. I only have a single Xbox profile on my 360 and my friends and I were playing 4 player last night with custom characters for each of us.

You just have to sign in under the single profile to start and then create the characters. They all show up once I sign in a single time.
