Microsoft just led off its show (televised on G4) with a Rock Band concert, with Peter Moore on Guitar(poorly. He failed and had to be saved by the other people in the band). The drum kit looked great, as did the guitar. Offender was the song being played and it sounded great. I can't wait to get this game. Great job, Harmonix.

I have to say, that was a terrible demo they did at the Microsoft conference. I am not saying it reflects on the game, but having Peter Moore, who couldn't play, and that chick who couldn't sing (wasn't she the one in the GNR video?), was not flattering.

Expecting HMX to put on a much better show ;)

As a demo of the game, yeah, it wasn't that great, but I don't think the girl did a bad job. It was fun to watch. Because you just know every band you get into online is more than likely going to have someone as pathetic as Moore in it.

The problem wasn't that the girl was that bad, it was that she was not in harmony with the existing vocal track, which made it sound horrendous. They should have turned off the background vocals for the demo. Bad demo which led the way for a bad press conference (seriously, almost nothing was new). I'm still as pumped as ever for the game, but that "leaked" gameplay video from a few weeks back was way better than this official demo...

It was a pretty lame conference. I did get a kick out of the Halo 3 thing.

Ha, that was great. He kept pausing for applause and there were none. I was just thinking "why is it diarrhea green?" I thought they were going to announce that "Falcon" 360 with the new cooler chips.
