Frustration with the drums

Ok so i got this game tonight. Now, I have never played drums before, and I beat Maps on expert. However, on a bunch of other songs, including the simple weezer song, I do horrible even on medium.

what is wrong with me? is my beat off? There doens't seem to be anything wrong with my drums, yet when I can't go 5 notes without an error even though the strucutre is so simple and im' hitting it, it gets frustrating.

anyone have this problem and overcame it?

i mean, it IS my first night with the game, i should probably relax

I'm currently trying to beat the game on hard with drums, stuck on vasoline =( but yeah i can beat maps on expert too its not that hard because the beat stays constant and isn't all crazy like other songs, although I can beat all the first tier sonsg on expert no prob. Allmost 100% weezer. Keep practicing beat the game on medium first it'll get you a good start some of the later songs are hard on medium :D

maps has a very predictable beat on drums and is probably one of the easiest to do on expert. it's still a lot of fun but I dont think it has any really tricky technical aspects to it that throw people off the way other songs do.

If you have never played drums before, start on medium even if it is too simple for you. People forget that they are actually learning to play the drums and that it actually takes skill to play the drums in this game. Also use practice mode and slow it down. It helps a ton with tricky drum patterns.

I've never played the drums before either. My experience is piano. I started on drums easy and moved to medium within a day. After a week, I've now started to do Hard on the easier songs. Just learn the basic Yellow, Red, Kick basic beat well and its much easier.

some of the drum beats come naturally otehrs don't it's all in how you read teh chart and how you can replicate the beat. I'm stuck at the queens of the stoneage song at the moment. I'll give it anotehr go tonight but If I fail again I'll just start practicing it. If you can't beat weezer on medium I'd suggest starting on medium and movie your way up. Some songs keep a contant beat like weezer and otehrs change it up a lot ( metallica).

Remember you get an error when you play a note that's not there as well as when you don't play one that is. From watching beginners play Drummania I've noticed they often hit bass beats that aren't there; their foot just starts tapping out the rhythm constantly. Check that you're not doing that.
