So I am just starting to make the jump to hard, and it is a pretty significant increase in difficulty. The main issue I seem to have is deciding which fingers to use when the yellow orange chord (3,5) comes along. Miss Queen has a lot of this. Should I use bird pinky, pointer pinky, or even pointer ring? What do most of you use for this chord?
thanks

I mostly use middle/pinky, but occasionally I'll use pointer/ring and just shift up a fret if there's a run of red/blue followed by yellow/orange, back to red/blue. Depends on what comes before and after in the sequence.

It's all about practice. You'll get used to when you should shift and when you should stretch for notes. It's all about what feels right to you.

I use middle/pinky 99.9% of the time for YO chords. In very rare situations when a song has difficult and fast chord progressions (such as YO-RB-YO-RB . . .) I will use my pointer/ring fingers to play the chords instead.

Someone on here suggested to play with your fingers on R-Y-B-O instead of the beginner way of G-R-Y-B. I gotta say, this has helped me make the jump to hard. It's much easier to shift up to play G with the pointer than it is to shift down to play O with the pinky.
