No I don't have it yet, but I have been reading something that has me concerned.

so before I spend money on a game I can't play, does this game work on a standard tv set?

I was reading something about calibrating or something or other, involving tvs in some threads. So before I go out and try and find the game, should I even bother?

the calibration you talk about is done on the console, not on the TV itself. Most issues are on HD TV's, flat pannels and such.

Thanks.

Now all I have to do is find the damn game. Ebay is too expensive, all I can hope is that thre is a store somewhere that might still have the game and a drumset, or mic.

Le sigh

If you are looking for the PS3 version good luck... needle in haystack. I have seen Xbox versions all over. Check walmart/target and other stores that don't primarily sell games.

I hear ya. I first bought the game by itself since I had 2 guitars already from GH. I had so much fun with it I ended up wanting the drums as well. Ebay is selling them seperate but for a lot more than I care to spend, so I bought the full kit at Wal-mart.... So now I have an extra copy of the game and a mic I'll never use.

Good luck finding a store that has just the drums for sale. The gear in the bundle is only available by them selfs after the new year.

played fine on my buddies big ass SD CRT. it even played in full screen rather than widescreen with bars.

...and the good thing about SD CRTs is that you barely ever need to calibrate them to begin with.
